Information For Ynyshir Restaurant & Rooms
Ynyshir is a destination Michelin star restaurant with rooms located on the coast of mid-Wales. A perfect location for an intimate & unique celebration. Celebrate over 2 days with family and friends.
Day 1
Arrival
From 3pm, you and your guests can arrive to check into your rooms. We have 9 spacious rooms and 3 tipis for your guests to use, sleeping up to 24, with the option of additional beds for children if required.
Informal BBQ at the Stretch Tent
A casual BBQ will be set up in our outdoor stretch tent where you and your guests can enjoy an intimate BBQ. Choose what you’d like on the green egg BBQ, or leave it to owner and head chef Gareth Ward. From his Char sui pork, to a Welsh Lamb shawarma are all amazing dishes. The stretch tent, with its fairy lights, solid oak topped bar in the centre, chilled out seating area with blankets and candles is a great place to relax before the big day.
Day 2 – The Big Day
The Morning
A continental style breakfast is served in the restaurant from 9am - 10am for you and your guests. We know that the morning of your wedding is all go, go, go with hair, makeup etc… We’re happy to provide refreshments of sparkling wine and a ploughman’s style lunch in the rooms whilst you and your guests get ready.
Ceremony
Your ceremony will take place in our restaurant or outside area at the time you have chosen with the local registrar. Once the ceremony is complete, you and your guests can head down to the stretch tent for arrival drinks and canapés - a great time to have some cocktails, champagne to celebrate or just a beer. You’ll have plenty of time to take pictures, mingle with your guests and enjoy your day whilst the restaurant is set up by our team ready for your wedding breakfast.
Wedding Breakfast
We recommend sitting for 5.30/6pm for the wedding breakfast, as the 12 course tasting menu will take approx. 2hrs. You can choose your dishes from the menu provided, or leave it to Gareth. Ynyshir is a “fun dining” and not “fine dining” experience led Gareth Ward. You’ll experience some truly unforgettable dishes, from A5 Wagyu Beef, to crab freshly caught from Cardigan Bay in Aberdyfi. Our team will introduce you to some amazing world class ingredients from all over the world.
Party Time
With our in house DJ, we’ll get the party started! You can choose either to use the stretch tent or restaurant for the evening celebrations. We’ll also supply a Kebab of Welsh lamb to curb that late night craving for you and your guests to enjoy.

The team is run by Chef- Owner Gareth Ward and his partner Amelia. I would be delighted to show you around Ynyshir and have the chance to hear more about your wedding ideas.
