Weddings at Wray's Barn, Whinstone View are rustic, romantic and relaxed. Escape to our family-owned countryside retreat with our beautiful barn which will be the perfect backdrop to your big day!
We’re surrounded by trees and woodland which makes it a beautiful place to be any time of the year. Onsite we have eight Scandinavian log cabins, a gourmet bistro, and a spa so you can really relax in the lead-up to, and on the day of, your wedding.
Whinstone View is perfect all year round, from summer garden soirées to cozy candlelit receptions in winter. Stay in style on your first night as newlyweds in one of our eight rustic-luxe Scandinavian log cabins, with everything you need for complete romance and relaxation. We can host civil ceremonies inside and outside in our quirky, fabulous setting, so you can spend the entire day at Whinstone View. Guests can relax and mingle whilst you take advantage of the grounds for some stunning wedding photography, all in one place.
We love weddings (we’ve hosted over 500 since 2014!) and we want to make your day as special and unique as possible. If there is anything you require, the team will do their very best to make it happen. Any ideas are welcome.

Lucy is the head of our wedding team and is your first point of call when planning your big day with us! She will give you a tour of the venue when you enquire, and discuss your vision for your wedding day. Lucy will also have regular meetings with you on the run-up to the day, so she can share her knowledge of the wedding industry and give you any advice you may need. Lucy and her team will also be present on the big day to help with the coordination of the ceremony and ensure the whole day runs smoothly!

The food was incredible, the bar staff did not stop smiling and dancing, and the staff in the Bistro the evening before and for breakfast the day after could not have done a better job, especially in getting our preorder spot on. Our wedding guests still talk about their gigantic trio of desserts and the delicious supper bowls!

It really is no surprise you have been crowned Teesside’s best wedding venue! Our wedding may have been and gone but this is just the start of our visits to such a wonderful place.
We checked into the lovely lodges the day before the wedding and Lucy was on hand to answer last-minute questions and put us at ease. She was back over to the lodges on the morning of the wedding to keep us up to date with how things were running and showed me some photographs of the barn (which put me at ease - Lucy and Jess had managed to pull all of our ideas together to make the barn look exceptional).
The whole day went so smoothly and we had the most fantastic day! I would recommend Whinstone View as a venue to anybody! The venue itself was fantastic and we have received so many compliments from our guests and vendors. The setting is beautiful, with high ceilings, beams, soft lighting, and plenty of outdoor space. We had the best day!
