Information For Timberyard
Timberyard is perfect for intimate gatherings from 10 guests with a maximum number for a seated dinner of 75. Ideally located in the centre of historic Edinburgh at the foot of the Castle.
Timberyard is a family-run restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh. Set in an authentic warehouse dating back to the 19th century when it was built as a props & costume store.
Choose to hold your ceremony in our sheltered south facing private yard or join us after for celebratory drinks followed by a showstopping wedding breakfast in the main warehouse.
The warehouse will be ready for your arrival with our rustic oak tables, made from recycled railway sleepers, set with natural linen napkins and lots of candles. We provide personalised menus and name cards together with a display table plan.
The ingredients for our menus plus our own soft drinks are led by what is available seasonally & locally wherever possible. Created with respect to nature & produce, sourced from local, artisan suppliers & Scotland’s larder.
Our cellar is made up of wines we love to drink. Made by friends of ours who respect the land & grape. Naturally produced by passionate growers from across Europe. Full of energy & life. We champion growers who showcase true terroir expression, stability & elegance.

We had a wonderful time, as did our guests, many of whom have already commented on the delicious food and how beautiful the venue was, both inside and out! Jo and staff were also brilliant and ran the whole event so seamlessly and (seemingly) effortlessly, meaning everyone felt well looked after but also totally relaxed and unrushed. Please pass our thanks on to the end-of-night team also, who were very accommodating and patient while we awaited taxis.
Many thanks again. We will remember our celebration at Timberyard fondly always, and hope to be back for a meal sometime soon.

It genuinely couldn't have been better and the venue was just what we wanted. It looked beautiful with all the candles and greenery, and we couldn't have got better weather for it! We keep chatting about the day and wanting to do it all over again.
The staff were superb and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone has been saying it's the best wedding they've been to with the best food and wine.
We honestly can't thank you enough for how helpful and flexible you've been with all the changes, even right up until the last minute!
It was very comforting for me to see you waiting at the front door when I arrived as I was super nervous!
