Set in the heart of Sherwood Forest, surrounded by untouched natural beauty, Thoresby Park offers one of North Nottinghamshire’s most impressive wedding locations.
Civil ceremonies and receptions take place in the dramatic setting of the Victorian Riding Hall. The gorgeous barn-style space has been beautifully restored, with soaring arched ceiling, rustic beams, red brick walls, fairy lights and superb wooden floor. The hall can accommodate 150 guests for dinner and up to 200 for your evening reception.
The new addition of the secret garden escape at the rear of The Riding Hall offers the perfect private garden for your drink’s reception, with endless possibilities for outdoor entertainment. No matter the weather the open garden has a large canopy for shade from the sun.
Beyond the garden the estate and woodland give you endless photographic opportunities. Thoresby Park is also available for marquee weddings, Woodland ceremonies or any ideas involving the great outdoors, giving you the opportunity to make the most of the picturesque surroundings.
Beyond the fabulous setting and fantastic facilities, the dedicated team of wedding coordinators are the real key to the venue’s success. They will be on hand to create a bespoke wedding that is unique to you, offering a flexible approach to all areas of your day. Top Wedding Tips
Make a wedding email address so you can keep track of all your correspondence with suppliers and your venue in one place.
Make the most of your decor - if you are hiring trees/lanterns to go down the aisle, why not have them moved after the ceremony and place them around the top table or dress the entrance.
Don't forget the small stuff! If you are hiring a sweet cart, bring extra sweets for us to top up in the evening. Don't forget a pen for the guestbook, spare batteries/candles in case they run out etc

Thoresby Park haven’t done an Indian wedding before but they have been amazing and open to wanting to have our wedding at their venue and have been so helpful at organising the event and accommodating everything we need to happen for the Indian wedding.
