The Palm Court, one of London’s most historic event spaces, is the heart and soul of The Waldorf’s rich history of hosting events. Featuring the venue's original Grade II Listed marble flooring and a glass ceiling that retains its magic and awe when guests enter the room – as it did when we hosted our first Tango almost 100 years ago. Flooded with natural daylight and transformed for evening functions, this is an iconic room have proven to be a show-stopper to clients any time of the day, ranging from hosting wedding ceremonies, standing receptions, social gatherings or private dinner of up to 180 guests for a banquet dinner, 400 people for a cocktail reception and 150 people based on a theatre layout, the Palm Court is extremely versatile.
Protected by The English Heritage and restored by Hilton to its former glory, the luxurious and famous Palm Court was feature filmed in the 1953 film A Night To Remember and more recently - Rocketman – with the historic clock, original built in lanterns and sconces, adding an elegant touch of timeless character to every event. It also boasts a private lobby, cloakroom and direct street access.
The Adelphi Suite, boasting tall pillars and chandeliers that evoke a feeling of classic luxury, features state of the art audio visual systems and an art deco carpet that will bring back an essence of the roaring twenties. Featuring a versatile layout with the option to separate the room into three separate suites, which can be used for dinners, dancing or a dedicated catering space, The Adelphi Suite as a whole can host up to 320 for a dinner dance, 340 people in a banquet style or a glittering reception for up to 500 guests.
Our dry hire package provides all the essential requirements to create a beautiful event containing chairs, tables, stage blocks and a dancefloor, a complimentary Bridal Suite which includes a full English Breakfast for the happy couple the following morning along with an Operations Manager to liaise with suppliers or decorators. Venue room hire can range depending on seasonality and includes both the Palm Court and The Adelphi Suite, a designated cloakroom and extra storage area. At The Waldorf, Hilton, we have found that dry hire is most popular for wedding clients to give them the flexibility to personalise their special day even further whilst the venue always welcomes last minute requests for charity gala dinners, social events, birthdays, bar mitzvahs and bachelorette parties! Clients are also welcome and liberated to introduce new suppliers or vendors to the venue who can help produce further demand and drive to host future events.
