Jon has owned the business since 2017 and Karen joined as Business & Events Manager in 2018. We have events most weekends and an increasing number of weddings where couples are looking for an affordable venue with great service

Standalone Converted Barn offering a modern and flexible venue for around 80 people. Original 300 year old beams with fairy lights and ivy complimented with a sympathetic extension
Inside full air conditioning and standalone exclusive use of outside area with lighting and heating under canopy
Staffed Bar, Tables and Chairs included in hire. Table Linen and Chair Covers available at a charge
Catering includes Buffets (hot and cold), Afternoon Teas, BBQ, Street Food and other menus on discussion as we will work with you to create the perfect event. You can cater for your own event but we do not allow external caterers
Also included is a full professional lighting and sound system or you can bring a DJ, Band or Live Music

Delayed Wedding Celebration (Post Covid)
We had a party at The Barn @ The Swan to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary as we had a covid restricted wedding. Service was amazing, Karen was beyond perfect & the party was amazing! Such a lovely venue! Highly recommend, wouldn't hesitate to hold another party there! Thank you so much xx

A lovely vibe with helpful staff
I booked this venue for my wedding reception, the manager Karen was very helpful always answering my questions and emails.
The venue is lovely and I would recommend with it being all one level. The Barn it's self has its own bar and separated from the pub. On the day of the event the staff were very efficient in keeping on top of cleaning. I would like to say thank you for this.
The only complaint I recieved from my guests was the lack of parking (which cannot be helped due to location).
Over all I would definitely recommend this venue, it has a lovely vibe with helpful staff.

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Jon, Karen and all of the team at The Swan for our amazing wedding reception this weekend.
Jon and Karen have been incredible through the whole process; putting up with our date change due to covid, indecisiveness around tables and being a seamstress on the night to. We couldn’t have asked for better service.
The food was absolutely incredible and we have had so many people comment on both this and the general feeling of the barn and the staff. You couldn’t have been more welcoming and we have no doubt we chose the right place to host our party. We would highly recommend The Swan and in particular The Barn for any event!

A massive Thankyou to Karen, Jon and all the staff at The Swan! You went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect, we had the best night, all of our guests were very impressed. Everything from start to finish was perfect
What can I say about Jon and his team, I held my wedding reception in the Barn and everything from start to finish was perfect and went above and beyond my expectations! Everyone commented on how wonderful everything was and our wedding day was perfect thanks to Jon and Karen. The food was delicious and plentiful, we had afternoon tea which offered a great selection then we had hotdogs and fries in the evening and it all went down a treat, nothing was too much trouble and they both had excellent ideas. I wouldn’t hesitate to hold another event here and I’m pretty sure we will in the near future! Thank you so much for making our day so wonderful.
