Our 17th century Grade II red star listed building, idyllic gardens and magnificent location opposite Ripon Cathedral makes The Old Deanery one of the most beautiful wedding venues in North Yorkshire.

The Old Deanery, sat opposite the breath-taking Ripon Cathedral, offers exclusive use for your special day. We want you to treat The Old Deanery as your home, from the front gate to the bottom of the gardens and everything in between – just you, your guests and our friendly staff.

Our elegant dining room, with a magnificent view of Ripon Cathedral, can comfortably seat 80 guests and is licensed to hold ceremonies. We have lots of break out areas, including a welcoming lounge, a bar overlooking our tranquil gardens and even a cinema room. We also have 9 individually styled bedrooms for your guests.

Couples who choose to celebrate with us will find their very own wedding coordinator, on hand from day one. Our calming personalities and passion for weddings will ensure the planning process runs as stress free as possible, allowing you to enjoy the experience and relax on the run up to the big day!

To take the hard work out of organising, we have designed the framework of a package that can then be adapted & extended to become personal to you. The Old Deanery weddings start from £100 per person.
