The Lion is a family owned and run business. The family have been in hospitality for almost 40 years and know how to produce great quality food and a conducive atmosphere to enjoy it. The Lion Inn has been trading as a restaurant for 10 years so you can be sure we know our food! The Lion House was added just over 3 years ago and its reputation to meet the expectations of couples for their big day has gone from strength to strength under the guidance of Kailey and Georgina. Our website has many testimonials to their skill in understanding the needs of different couples and how their big day is envisaged. As a family run business, we are able to really get to know our couples and this is at the heart of what we do. We offer a bespoke service and will, happily, go above and beyond to create your dream wedding, no matter what the request.
The Lion first opened its doors in 2008 and is a locally well renowned destination. Its eclectic, vintage style is warm and welcoming and this ambience extends to our newest addition - a stunning, purpose built, self-contained banquet venue.
Your guests will be wowed by the art deco inspired bar entrance before entering the hall whose calm palette will allow your own colours and decoration to shine. The gorgeous glass wall gives views to the garden and is certain to provide a superb backdrop for your wedding ceremony, photographs and wedding breakfast and on warmer days, once you have ‘tied the knot’, you, your family and friends can enjoy your first drinks as Mr & Mrs taking in the wonderful rural views beyond.
And, if food is an expression of love for those invited to share in your big day, then a Lion House wedding is a great decision. Our reputation is built on delivering excellent food quality and this same ethos applies to our wedding breakfasts. The Lion House benefits from its own dedicated kitchen with chefs focussing solely on delighting your guests with super tasty canapes, should you wish, or a sumptuous sit down or, perhaps, both!
