With an Ethos of "the answer is always yes", the team at The House at Temple Sowerby is dedicated to ensuring all guests leave, wanting to come back.
The House combines the traditional comforts of a 17th Century country house together with contemporary features. The Restaurant at Temple Sowerby sits in a circular conservatory overlooking the 2 acre walled garden and pond. The garden offers a stunning backdrop to your day with the mighty Crossfell Mountain dominates our skyline.
The garden offers a wide variety of nooks and crannies and provides Head Chef, Jack Bradley with many foraging opportunities. He is passionate about using the best, local, seasonal produce and preparing it in a modern, exciting way.
The 12 bedrooms are all individually styled but all enjoy the same high quality linens, flat screen TVs, non allergenic duvets & pillows and a range of complimentary teas & coffees. Some of the rooms also boast bathrobes & slippers, nespresso coffee machines, USB ports & hydro-therapy showers.
The bar stocks a great selection of wines to suit all palates & pockets. There are some good examples of classic styles, together with some interesting new ones too.
Our events team has years of experience in the hospitality and events management field and will guide you through the choices on offer.
