Within its antique walls, a choice of distinguished reception spaces awaits, from an elegant courtyard to lavishly decorated rooms. Inside and out, this 15-century building is steeped in original charm and character, giving couples a unique setting in which to begin a new chapter.



Facilities and Capacity

The Guildhall delivers a grand backdrop to host the couple's most special celebration. History lovers, in particular, will appreciate the handcrafted pearl-coloured limestone that forms the building's impressive facade. In pleasing contrast, eight graceful oak pillars forged from a single tree stand proud on each side of the main hall. This captivating space provides ample room for 160 seated guests and 270 for a lively standing reception. Adjoining this large setting is the walled courtyard, ideally suited for sophisticated drinks under a mild and clear night sky. While the venue is not licensed to host ceremonies, couples will have access to the Mansion House located directly across from the hall. Here, to-be-weds can exchange vows in a Georgian building dating back to 1732, the perfect accompaniment to the reception setting.
