All around FANTASTIC! An absolutely amazing wedding venue only topped by their friendly and helpful staff. From booking our wedding 2 years in advance we made several trips and every single time we were met with enthusiasm. When it came to planning, Maddie & Tara couldn’t have been more helpful (but they would have definitely tried). They were open to all our ideas and leading up to the wedding, Maddie kept us calm, collected and up to date. She was always an email away if we had any worries or questions. As for the venue itself, the hotel and all of the guest rooms were spacious and beautiful with a cosy bar that really makes you feel at home. We stayed in the luxury Treehouse behind the hotel which we considered a must for a romantic weekend as soon as we saw it and it didn’t disappoint. Mind-blowing, to the point where we had to show all our guests just how amazing it was. Even with a little rain our big day couldn’t have gone smoother. Maddie was on hand throughout the day, keeping perfect time and making sure the whole day was the best it could be (which it was). Our garden ceremony was beautiful and intimate. The flowers has just bloomed and we needed very little decoration because in itself the greenery was spectacular. Plus, even with rain our guests could enjoy it with little worry as the parasols kept them dry. After our food tasting earlier in the year we had been dreaming about our wedding meal and quite rightly as it was delicious. Every course came out in good time and the portions were spot on. The bar in the evening gave us the perfect spot and never felt crowded (even with 100 guests & a massive TARDIS photo booth). All our guests loved the venue and we couldn’t have been happier. It was perfect. We can’t wait to return to the treehouse for our 1 year anniversary. If you want an unforgettable wedding that has everything North Devon can offer, look no further! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the fox and hounds. The staff were fantastic and we were able to decorate and use the hotel as we wanted for the day and night. I would definitely recommend the venue and the garden is beautiful!

We had the most amazing wedding here at the end of December! Everything was perfect, staff were very helpful, food was delicious and rooms were lovely! All of our guests had a fantastic time too! We would definitely recommend the Fox and Hounds to anyone looking for a wonderful wedding venue.

To say our wedding day was perfect would be an understatement. We cannot put into words how much, my husband and I, and our friends and family enjoyed our time at Fox and Hounds in Eggesford on 30/06/18. Tara and the team couldn’t have done more for us, the food was fantastic and the whole hotel is stunning! Had a wedding here last year and it went perfectly. The staff were incredible and went out of their way to make it the perfect day for us. The food was gorgeous and service fantastic. Lots of guests highlighted how lovely it was, woukd yoyally recommend.

It was perfect from start to finish. The staff looked after myself and family so well and everyone commented on how beautiful the hotel was - just a perfect setting for our wedding. We are both so glad that we chose to get married here and can't wait to return again - maybe for our first anniversary!

We came from Australia to get married, as I moved there 9 years ago to be with my Australian partner so wanted to be surrounded by my family I left behind. All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure every minute detail was attended to. Dana, our wedding planner, went out of her way to make sure the day was exactly what we wanted, even answering our messages and questions outside of business hours, which was an amazing personal touch! She was by our side throughout the day to gently guide us so we knew what was happening at all times and I will never forget how wonderfully she treated us during the planning of, and on our wedding day. Ourselves and our guests were treated very well and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, I will always recommend this venue to other people.
