Information For The Cottage Hotel
At The Cottage Hotel we only ever hold one wedding at a time - that means the whole hotel staff dedicated to you, your guests and the realization of your perfect day.
Our function room can seat up to 85 guests for a ceremony and seated meal and many more for an evening buffet. We have a well stocked bar and you'll also have the use of our smaller dining room and our cosy lounge- the perfect spot for your older guests to enjoy a sneaky snooze or a quiet chat away from the hubbub of the main event.
Meanwhile outside we have 2 picturesque gardens and a sunny courtyard directly off the ball room with climbing roses, a fountain and stylish seating for your guests to spill out and enjoy the sunshine.
Whilst we have competitively priced 'all in one' packages we also create custom weddings for much larger or smaller numbers, meaning we really do cater for everyone. And there are no nasty surprises hidden in our pricing- we won't charge you extra to cut your cake- and our competitive packages even include a disco for your evening entertainment. Many venues will also charge you extra to offer a choice of menus to your guests but at the Cottage Hotel this is included free of charge if you have 50 guests or more.
We are also unusual in the amount of services and features we include as standard. We act as your Master of Ceremonies, shepherding and guiding your guests, and as your venue dresser, dressing your tables for you, to ensure the only thing left for you to worry about is the weather!
Finding local accommodation for your wedding party can be a headache but we have 21 bedrooms, including options for families and a choice of bridal suite. At the last count we could accommodate 54 people overnight, meaning you can all meet again over breakfast the following day , beautifully extending the celebrations and giving you more opportunities to catchup with everyone.

For me the best part about my job is the people. Every couple who walk through our doors bring us something different. I love working with them, getting to know them and what matters to them, teasing out the details which will make each day special and unique. I work with them from that first point of meeting through to the day itself, to ensure every detail is in place and nothing has been overlooked. I believe it is the tiny details which combine to make a memorable wedding day, the memories which will last a lifetime. The Best Man who has no idea how to fasten on a buttonhole ( I can help with that by the way!) Granny taking a quick nap in the lounge….all of these things combine to make an experience that is uniquely yours. That is what we do here, we make memories. I would love to help you make yours.
