The Clifton Pavilion at Bristol Zoo Gardens provides the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony, reception and evening party.

Built in the 1920s for grand occasions, the building’s graceful architecture offers elegant rooms with beautiful views overlooking the west lawn and flamingos. With its high vaulted ceiling and chandeliers, the Clifton Suite offers a stunning backdrop for both the wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast for up to 120 guests.

The Garden Room is light and airy with a patio leading out in to the gardens; a great space for your reception drinks and evening party for up to 150 guests. There are fabulous photo opportunities within the 12 acres of award-winning gardens, creating the perfect venue for the most memorable day of your life. Your guests are welcome to explore the Zoo and see a host of animals ensuring that your wedding will be a unique event to be remembered.

Made our Wedding Day Perfect

We don't know how to put into words how thankful we are to you for making our day completely perfect. It was amazing from start to finish. You thought of everything to ensure our day was perfect even making sure the surprises ran smoothly and keeping the secrets, I had no idea!!
The ceremony went smoothly as could be, with the extra chorus of the flamingos. The food was exquisite, which everybody commented on! All the staff we were so kind, thoughtful and couldn't do enough to help us and our families.
Alysha you were an absolute angel throughout the whole day. Keeping me calm and ensuring the day went as amazingly as it could. Even going the extra mile with the cocktail bar. You looked after all guests brilliantly. I would recommend the Clifton Pavilion again and again for any occasion.
We are beyond happy with our day at the zoo. You made that possible.

We had the most wonderful wedding day from start to finish.
The staff were fabulous. And couldn't of done more for us. The afternoon tea was delicious and had plenty to eat

It was so lovely to have someone who was friendly, helpful and communicative. You made me feel like there was nothing more important than our wedding and felt like your time was completely devoted to us. You made the whole process a complete breeze.
To Alesha and her amazing team, you guys were like a well oil machine and did an incredible job on the operational/logistical element of the day. The venue looked amazing. The day went without a hitch (or so that’s how it felt) and your team were so lovely, helpful and supportive.
The meetings in the lead up to the wedding were ideal and we were both completely impressed on how everyone involved from the very start to the finish, contributed.

Highly Recommend The Clifton Pavilion

As soon as we saw the Clifton Pavilion we fell in love with the decor. The Clifton Suite is truly stunning and was exactly the sort of place we had in mind for our wedding ceremony and breakfast. The fact that guests could have a wander around the zoo was a bonus and certainly added an element of something different to our wedding day! The staff were incredible. Meg should win an award for her organisational skills on the day. Everything worked like clockwork and she was on hand every step of the way to ensure we knew what was happening and that things were going as planned. She was amazing the day before the wedding when I had a wobble about an external supplier. Before I knew it we had a plan B in place and I instantly knew I was in safe hands. We’d highly recommend the zoo to host your wedding. It’s a great, central location, our guests loved the novelty and we had a fabulous day! Thank you so much to all involved!

Happiest Day Ever!

Before finding the Clifton Pavilion at Bristol Zoo, we weren’t even sure we wanted a big wedding day. That all changed when we entered the building and met the lovely team. Planning was easy and well organised, and the food was great. We got married in June this year and the Pavilion team made sure we had the happiest day ever. Plus it’s a zoo!
