The Cart Shed is an unspoilt and authentic country barn offering you the opportunity to turn your dream wedding day into a reality.
The Cart Shed is blank canvas venue available over the summer months from May until the end of October.
Here at Park Farm we realise the importance of having a blank canvas in order to create your own bespoke memorable event and as such we have created ‘The Cart Shed’ a totally unspoilt and authentic rustic barn offering you the opportunity to turn your ‘perfect day’ into a reality.
From wedding receptions to family parties, we can tailor your day to suit and can offer inspiration, guidance and expertise along with a list of local suppliers who will all be happy to help you with your big day.
The Cart Shed is a stunning authentic rustic barn and is a wonderfully romantic space ideal for weddings. With the addition of our spacious 9m x 8m frame tent, we have the capacity to seat 120 guests comfortably. Panoramic views of the historic, rolling countryside, wonderful rustic timbers wearing fairy lights, a glowing fire pit, floating candles on the pond all add to the atmosphere of this truly unique space.
For quieter moments, when you need a little peace and quiet we also have the Lambing Shed which is a relaxed and informal space for guests to retire to when perhaps the weather isn’t on your side for outdoor activities. The space is also ideal for a drinks reception or even a blessing should you want to keep everything under one roof.

Hi, my name is Jill and together with my husband Tim we started Park Farm Weddings in 2017. We are very fortunate to live at Park Farm and wanted to share it's unique charm and location with others, so we set about creating The Cart Shed from a disused barn on the farm. We have taken a great deal of pleasure from the wonderful compliments we receive and have enjoyed hosting all of our many varied weddings. I am your point of contact from your initial enquiry through to the morning after your wedding and will help guide you through the many possible pitfalls of wedding planning!

We used Taste to do our catering and bar, as recommended by Jill, and the day ran seamlessly. The setting makes for some beautiful photos. The fire pit was a popular place to chill and catch up or to take a rest from the high energy Ceilidh dancing!
We opted for a midweek wedding which allowed us to plan in 6 months.
Wish we could do it all again.

Living in Tokyo we were a little worried about organising everything from afar but Jill was able to recommend some great suppliers (Taste Events for catering and Jeannie for the flowers) who were very proactive and organized which made our lives a lot easier! Jill and Tim were super supportive, very responsive to emails and always available to answer questions and give us advice.
The day itself was perfect. The caterers were already set up, Jeannie was on hand to apply the finishing touches to an stunning floral display and Jill and Tim were available for any support if needed. The venue was incredible- the rolling meadows and sheep, the fire pit, the vintage props, the tractor...it all came together beautifully and this was also beautifully captured by our photographer.
All in all a big thank you in particular to Jill and Tim, Jeannie (flowers), Andy and Katherine (Taste Events) and Gillian (vicar) for making the best day of our lives so perfect and unforgettable!
Jill was incredibly helpful during the planning process: she responded to questions quickly, was flexible around our plans (including having a small event on Friday, in addition to the main event on Saturday) and provided valuable advice on caterers (Taste Events) and a florist (Jeannie Williamson). Jill and Tim did a fantastic job on the weekend of the wedding, and everything ran perfectly. The rooms and breakfast were also great!
Jeannie did an incredible job with the flowers and we can't thank her and her team enough for making our floral ideas a reality (especially the ceremony arch!)! Andy and Katherine (Taste) were also fantastic from start to finish. It was so reassuring to have them recommended by Jill, knowing that both knew the venue well and that they would work with Jill and Tim seamlessly to make everything as planned.
Thank you for facilitating such a fabulous wedding weekend. We will treasure the memories forever!
