As a company, we are so, incredibly proud of our heritage. Wendy & Tony opened Perkins restaurant in 1982, living upstairs with their two sons. Twenty years later the boys took over and later bought and restored the beautiful Carriage Hall. This is a family business through and through, and our ethos stems from the foundation of our company. Wendy and Tony opened their home to guests, and their positivity, personalised service, teamwork and love for outstanding fresh food shapes everything we do today.

Housed in the former Plumtree railway station goods shed, dating back to 1895, the Perkins Family have lovingly restored this beautiful Victorian building into a stunning and unique venue. Tucked away within its own grounds with wonderful rural views, The Carriage Hall provides an idyllic setting for intimate wedding receptions up to grand ceremonies and celebrations.

The historic arched windows, exposed Victorian brick and original oak beams provide the ultimate back drop for a wedding. Double height windows allow the countryside to flood in, overlooking both stunning grounds and a lovely patio area with seating and festoon lighting.

The Saunders room is the perfect space to escape for some quiet time, compete with a balcony overlooking the gardens. Across the bridge there is a beautiful mezzanine allowing guests to watch their friends and family celebrate the day from comfy sofas underneath a ceiling of fairy lights. We also have three luxury Shepherds huts for the perfect nights sleep.

The Carriage Hall can host up to 100 guests for a ceremony, 120 guests for a seated wedding reception and up to 200 guests to dance the night away.
