The story of Tapton Hall has been woven into the history of Sheffield since the eighteenth century. Tapton House was the home of the Shore family, including Mary Shore, grandmother of Florence Nightingale who was accustomed to visiting the house.

For three centuries, this house has been an integral part of the Sheffield landscape. Tapton Hall's distinguished history has seen it serve as a home to great names and a witness to great events.

Tapton Hall's distinctive architecture provides a beautiful setting for your wedding ceremony. After entering through the Grand Entrance doors, you arrive in the Portrait Gallery via the magnificent main staircase.

Breakfast & Reception:

Tapton Hall boasts a range of banqueting suites which provide an excellent location for your wedding breakfast and reception. Whether you intend to host a small personal celebration of wish to splash out with an elaborate party, Tapton Hall can supply a range of solutions in order to make your special day something you and your guests will never forget.

There are a variety of areas within the building that make an attractive setting for your civil wedding ceremony. Our events team will deliver any drinks or canape service ordered wherever your reception takes place on the day, and of course we welcome photography throughout the Hall and grounds.

Catering & Menus:

Catering for your wedding day is managed to the finest detail. Our head chef and wedding co-ordinator will build a bespoke menu package to suit the needs of you and your guests that is within your personal budget.

You will have the opportunity to choose from a vast range of menus - choosing only the very best for your perfect day. The chef's produce all food on site in our extensive kitchens - catering for up to 200 guests.
