The Tithe Barn at Symondsbury Estate is a beautiful 14th century barn with a lovely private garden, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere. It is fully licensed for civil weddings.

The Tithe Barn is unique, charming, magical, elegant and stunning. Located in an amazing setting within the tranquil village of Symondsbury in West Dorset.

The Barn has undergone sympathetic renovations to enhance its natural beauty, whilst creating an elegant and charming wedding venue. The venue’s thoughtful restoration includes a galleried area at one end of the barn, floor to ceiling glass entrances, stone flooring, exposed oak beams and a wooden dance floor.

We are licensed to conduct Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships. The barn has the capacity to seat up to 150 guests and has a licensed bar.

Due to the flexibility offered by the Tithe Barn, you are free to conjure up any imaginative theme or atmosphere that suits your preferences by dressing the venue entirely as you wish.

The idyllic courtyard and gardens create a peaceful and serene atmosphere, making for a romantic and elegant area for drinks and canapés. The wooded area is the perfect spot to take photographs of your magical ceremony, forging memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Symondsbury Estate can offer accommodation throughout the estate in our 5 star luxury holiday cottages and farmhouses.

We have our own in-house Catering Manager who offers an excellent choice of menus including a 3 course meal, hog roast, barbecue or buffet. We can also provide a number of packages for drinks.
