A classic country-house hotel built in Victorian Times, our elegant hotel is set in over 262 acres of beautiful grounds, including 18-hole championship golf course. The hotel is surrounded by the beautiful Cheshire countryside close to the Peak District, creating a secluded, tranquil and atmospheric setting for your big day.

Our swooping driveway takes you past a cascading waterfall and up to the beautiful Shrigley Hall with un-interrupted breath taking views as far as Manchester City Centre. Our venue provides a simply stunning backdrop to any size wedding amongst the mature woodland, one of our lakes or inside on our magnificent staircase with domed decorative ceiling the photo opportunities here are endless.

We’re licensed for weddings and civil partnerships for up to 200 guests, so you can hold your ceremony and reception here at the hotel. We have five beautiful function rooms including our unique Tilden Suite a converted chapel boasting architectural features dating from the 18th Century. The William Turner Suite with its crystal chandeliers and French windows overlooking the courtyard. Each suite has its own distinctive character, giving your day a unique atmosphere and sense of occasion.

We also have a private Health & Leisure club with indoor swimming pool and beauty rooms, which offer a wide range of luxury treatments for you and your guests to enjoy. Some of our wedding packages include a 2 month complimentary membership before the wedding to help you relax and un-wind in the run up to the big day. Our wedding couples are also entitled to a discount on spa treatments in the run up to the wedding.

Whether you’re giving your guests a buffet or a banquet, our menu’s offer you superb choice, from English and Continental classics to innovations from the frontiers of contemporary cuisine. If you have particular favourites, requests or dietary requirements, you can ask chef to create a bespoke menu for you.
