Located just a couple of miles outside of Portsmouth and nestled within 19 acres of beautiful Hampshire countryside, this historic wedding venue offers couples the chance to say ‘I do’ at a fully restored Victorian fort overlooking the Solent.
Fort Nelson’s surroundings are totally spectacular and the venue’s fascinating history lends itself to a dramatic wedding day backdrop.
The Fort holds a civil ceremony license, allowing weddings and civil partnership ceremonies to take place in the Point of the Redan or the Ante Room. Point of the Redan was originally the officers’ Billiard Room, which has a capacity of 80 seated guests. The Ante Room has recently been restored to its full Victorian splendour and has magnificent views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight from its large picture window. This space has a capacity of 45 seated guests.
