Information For Newlands Bishop Farm
If you are a couple that loves the great outdoors and are looking to create a unique atmosphere and ambience for their wedding, then look no further than Newlands Bishop Farm.
During the week Newlands Bishop Farm is a working farm and is part of The Family Care Trust, a charity that is devoted to helping adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and brain injuries. With this in mind, we offer exclusive use of the farm, services and double linked tipi. Weddings can only be accommodated at the weekend. All income generated from weddings goes directly to the development of our Farm.
Once everyone has gone home the farm and tipi are exclusively yours from 4pm on a Friday right through to 4pm on the Sunday evening if required.
Some of the project workers return at the weekend and love to help make your day special, and their involvement is a true joy to see. The Farm is versatile, with a large field in which a double linked tipi has already been put up. There are also stunning landscaped gardens for pictures and children to explore!
Whatever style or theme of wedding that you are planning, Newlands Bishop Farm is all about originality, uniqueness, and individuality. We invite you to get in touch and discuss how you can weave your vision of your wedding into our rural setting.

Newlands Bishop Farm Reviews

Jade our Co ordinator has been fantastic so far answering any questions I have. Such a friendly girl. Can’t wait to get planning with her

We had also been told we couldn’t bring our beloved sausage babies (Darcy & Dougie) to the wedding. We even compromised by suggesting we would just have them there for the pictures and then they would have to go to who knows where? because all the people we love & trust with them would be at the wedding. Some venues said a big no to having any dogs and this is something we were not willing to sacrifice for the biggest day of our lives!
We then thought of organising a ‘DIY’ wedding and opting for a more relaxed setting looking for venues that we could take our fur babies to be part of our day. They are family to us and if they can’t come, it’s not happening!
We came across Newlands Bishop farm who offer the whole farm & tipi reception for the weekend. Not only do they let you bring your fur babies, you can design and create exactly just how you want your special day to be.
ALSO… they are a charity run business who support adults with learning disabilities and part of your total venue cost goes towards the charity. I mean how wonderful! As I used to work with adults with learning disabilities myself this was something that was close to my heart. The venue also offer 10% NHS discount! Us nurses always love to feel valued, and who doesn’t love a discount, so this was the cherry on top!
Dawn the wedding coordinator is so friendly and accommodating. She has been our light in the dark throughout the COVID pandemic. Having so many questions because of uncertainties and having to move our date 3 times has been stressful, especially because a DIY wedding requires you to book & organise your own suppliers. Dawn has been there always offering advice or recommendations wherever she can. She is also striving to add to the venues surroundings which are absolutely beautiful and I would totally recommend if you’re opting for a DIY tipi wedding.
They have so many different parts of the farm you can explore which includes a beautiful trialing woodland, where our ceremony will take place. Lots of different garden areas that the service users and staff work very hard to maintain and update. Every time we visit the venue there’s always new exciting things happening to make it look even more pretty and accommodating for your special day.
I’m so glad we found this venue and can’t wait to finally say our I do’s :)
