Montague Farm offers you the the chance to create a totally bespoke wedding with a three day hire and so much choice in how to use the space. Montague Farm offers you:
Pig Palace is an 18th century single storey barn and the first of the wedding barns which lie in a pretty curved line. Pig Palace, which is licensed for civil ceremonies, boasts original flint walls, a newly laid polished concrete floor, original oak-beamed ceiling filled with foliage and fairy lights and incredible views across the grounds all the way to the sea. Pig Palace has a stunning glass front and double glass doors to maximise the view but enable the space to be cosy and dry when required. Pig Palace has a licence for wedding ceremonies (up to 100 seated and more standing) and is also a super space for reception drinks, canapes or even a wedding breakfast of up to 80 if this is how you to use the space. The beauty of Montague is that you get to choose!

Next door to Pig Palace, lies Big Barn at the centre of the curve of wedding buildings, which was originally a cattle barn. We have lovingly and stylishly converted this impressive space into a wedding barn suitable for wedding breakfasts, dancing and entertainment for up to 200 guests (maybe a few more if you like it cosy). We have clad the internal walls with reclaimed wood and the outside with local larch. Inside, we have created a breath-taking ceiling which features four giant wagon-wheel lights made from vintage artillery wheels and thread with foliage , plus there are beautiful white drapes which sweep from the centre to the side all the way through. Big Barn has a dramatic entrance with floor to ceiling barn door entrance draped beautifully in white voile and a bespoke reclaimed wood bar ready for you to stock with your favourite drinks! You can also enjoy use of our 10 Scottish whisky barrels which make the perfect poseur tables. And with practicalities in mind, the catering area and guest loos are situated close to the barn.

The Watering Shed
Finally, and for some the 'piece de resistance’, we introduce you to the divine Watering Shed, our dedicated bar. Originally a wooden cabin on the farm, this delightful space has been restored as a separate bar for weddings, boasting a stylish inside space with original metal work in the ceiling dressed with hops, a custom-built bar all ready for action and some beautiful accent features. The Watering Shed has a complete glass front with bi-folding doors and a 5 x 4m verandah under vine covered pergola and with fire pit from which guests can enjoy a drink and take in the incredible views. We love the idea of you enjoying cocktail hour at your wedding!

When you book Montague Farm for your wedding, you take it from the Thursday to the Monday to allow for plenty of set up and clear down time, a couple of nights of camping for those that like this idea, and the opportunity to create a totally unique wedding day where you use the space in a way that suits your day best.
