I had cancelled my previous venue due to Covid but when I found out The Mercure Hotel was free on my wedding date, I couldn’t resist booking the venue. I can honestly say I haven’t regretted it since.

I hired the Kings Room and came down from the balcony, which felt like a fairy tale story come to life. The venue looks phenomenal, where we got endless compliments from our family and friends, where they stated the venue was amazing. The team at The Mercure Hotel were hands on and helped us out throughout the event, so a big thank you for hosting our wedding.

Paul was the wedding planner we needed. He listened to all of our concerns and offered us advice when needed. He was very accommodating for all of our wedding wishes. During the wedding planning we had a few setbacks but Paul was amazing at helping us find alternatives and providing us with confidence that our big day would be as special as we hoped. Austin and his team provided an amazing service throughout the wedding breakfast and evening. The food was incredible and guests truly enjoyed it. It was definitely a day to remember!

From the day our family met you at the Wedding Fair, to booking the hotel in November 2021 for our wedding on 26 February 2022, through to the day after our wedding, we had the most fantastic service from you. You hugely assisted us with our wedding planning, you were increasingly patient on every single occasion we made a change to the plans (which was quite often!), and you were an absolute delight to work alongside. The staff working on the day of our wedding, from reception, general and kitchen kitchen, were all brilliant and they worked over and beyond to ensure our day was special. Our family and friends commented how nice the hotel and service was and we 100% agree with them. We loved having our Hindu wedding at the Mercure Grand and would highly recommend it to anyone. Also, being a dog friendly hotel, we loved our dog, Mango, being party of our special day. We wish you and the hotel the very best and we hope to see you soon.
