Set in the heart of the old Hampshire market town of Fareham, Lysses House Hotel offers a unique blend of high standards, personal service, fine food and excellent facilities.
Here at the Lysses House Hotel, we have rich history, with the house dating back to the early 1800s. In 1946, the house was sold to Mr Godefroy, a school master, for just £3000! Godefroy then transformed the house into a boys' private day school which continued to run very successfully for about 10 years.
After then being used as offices for about 20 years the building was taken over to become Lysses House Hotel in 1986. The house was restored to bring back its original Georgian feel and became the relaxed hotel that it is today. The Lysses House has 21 bedrooms and 4 conference rooms. Our fully accessible Hampshire room is where we hold many of our weddings, holding up to 90 people. Downstairs is our restaurant, bar and lounge areas, where the ceremonies and evening receptions for weddings are held at a capacity of 120 guests. Our restaurant was refurbished in 2017 and now boasts a sleek colour scheme whilst maintaining its traditional feel. Our bedroom block is split over three floors with some of the rooms possessing a beautiful garden view. With the hotel set amid our award winning garden, the Lysses is stunning in the summer sun-the ideal place to relax on the terrace with a cold drink.
Weddings at the Lysses House Hotel are spectacular, come rain or shine. We have perfect photo opportunities both inside and outside the hotel, whether it be on our grand staircase with the chandelier overhead or the bright gardens underneath the blossoming magnolia tree. Our food and beverage director will meet with you and your fiancé to discuss all the details of your day. He can create bespoke menus for you and your guests and ensure even the smallest of finishing touches are remembered.
