Stunning venue, fantastic staff, wish we could do it all again
We booked just before Covid-19 hit early 2020 not knowing the awful situation the world would end up in eventually.
We made the decision in early 2021 to carry on with our date rather than cancel and Gill the wedding planner was very supportive.
The hotel ended up closed because of lockdown again but Gill made an effort to touch base with us when she was able to.
Once things opened back up again in April we were full steam ahead. Nothing was too much trouble for Gill and she put up with a lot from myself with my worries about how things would work with the covid restrictions still in place, she was very patient and understanding and put my mind at ease.
The night before the wedding I stayed with my bridesmaids and some of my family. The staff were very welcoming and we were provided with a bottle of prosecco on arrival in our room. The rooms were interconnecting and a great size so made getting ready the next morning together easy.
Bryony the master of ceremonies on the day was amazing! she visited us in the morning and was on hand for any questions or issues throughout the whole day. She was an absolute angel and a credit to the hotel.
We were lucky enough to be able to have our ceremony outside in the stunning gardens and the sun shone all day. Being outside was exactly what we wanted so it started the day well.
Afterwards we all had drinks in the garden whilst photographs were being taken before heading inside for our sit down meal.
The tables were beautifully decorated with the items we had brought exactly how we had asked. We opted for a sweetheart table for ourselves and the other tables were laid out perfectly to compliment this.
The evening DJ was great and the bar and waiting staff were attentive and helpful throughout the day during what must have been a challenging time with table only service for drinks etc.
Overall we would absolutely recommend the Huntingtower Hotel as a wedding venue, you will not be disappointed.
