Houchins is a Traditional Venue With a Modern Twist
Houchins has been designed to offer stylish entertaining for up to 180 guests in a beautifully landscaped wedding garden.
We have created a truly unique venue that
sympathetically marries concrete, wood and steel in a glorious setting. Houchins is an elegant wedding venue with stylish grade 2* listed farmhouse accommodation. Located in north Essex it has a rich history dating back to the 17th century.
The farmhouse sleeps up to 14 people in style and comfort with fluffy white towels, complimentary toiletries, fresh cotton sheets and a continental style breakfast all included to round off your stay. The continental style breakfast includes croissants, fresh bread and cereals.
There artea and coffee making facilities in every room.
The nearby Honeymoon Lodge is a cosy hideaway for the newly married couple with luxurious en-suite. It is stocked with chilled champagne, OJ and delicious chocolates for late night munchies. A Nespresso coffee machine awaits you in the morning. And of course, a super king size bed to get lost in!

Our bridal dressing room has make-up mirrors and hooks galore and everything you need to get the bridal party looking their best for your special day. Access to the dressing room is from 10.30am.

Special thank you to the barman who went above and beyond for us. Everyon'e glasses were topped up and he was always making sure me and Faye were ok and had a drink. He organised the sparkler shots for us and was just so lovely and helpful. All our guests kept mentioning how amazing the venue and all the staff were.
