I believe that each wedding is individual and unique. That is one of the main reasons we don't do packages. Everyone has different priorities as well as different budgets for their special day and what I want to do is find out what is important to you. Although I can do estimate from a simple email request I find it better to meet you, show you the options available here and talk about menus, numbers, times and at least some of the details of what you would like to make it special to you. This way I can give a breakdown of the prices, which can be changed and adapted if needed. I love hosting weddings and I'm always amazed by people's stories and the little things that they want to make their day simply 'their day'. Over the many years I've been at Highdown I have loved getting to know our brides and our grooms and often their families too. Many have gone on to become friends and have returned to visit and even bring me their babies to meet. It's the people that make my job so special.

He messed up our wedding music.
He tried to sue a family friend over a watermark on a tablecloth, we have just had the preliminary hearing.
It was struck off as he did not have a cause of action, and no contract with my friend. He changed his story again, and the judge pointed out he was saying something different from his original claim.
He didn't understand what he was being asked, and kicked off. He had a go at the judge because the mediator "didn't warn him that this might be the reason his case is struck off"
(I warned him, several times before and during mediation, but obviously he didn't believe me)
The judge informed him that he cannot randomly sue a member of the public, and his petty grievance had no place in a court of law.
It resulted in him standing up and shouting that we'd wasted his time, before unpacking his dirty table cloth and waving it at us to "make his point".
He was ushered from the court. It was extremely poor behavior from a grown man, and quite mortifying.
