We first viewed this venue in September 2021 as a potential Wedding Venue. From the moment we visited we knew it was for us. The venue is relaxed, welcoming and modern, yet still manages to keep its rustic charm.

All of the staff are amazing - on the several times we have visited everyone is so friendly and hardworking, none more so than on the wedding day. Shirley also is the face behind pearlescent events who beautifully decorated the venue on our day and is extremely friendly, helpful and talented! Matt (our wedding co-ordinator) could not have done any more to make the day run smoothly. Not only was he extremely helpful in the planning process, but on the day turned his hand to just about anything! Including helping with the groom party's buttonholes and pocket squares, helping dress and organise the room, handing out fans to the guests and even helping to assist our flower girl to walk down the aisle when she got stage fright! He even had a hoover in his hand at one stage! All while ensuring timings were kept to plan and ensuring all guests were happy.

We visited a number of times for food prior to our wedding day and it was superb. The food at our wedding had rave reviews from everyone. The chocolate fondant was the best we have ever had and was the highlight of everyone's meal! All dietary requirements were more than catered for - even at the evening reception where vegan, vegetarian and gluten free pizzas were made! There is also a great selection of drinks, all very reasonably priced.

The venue itself is perfect for a wedding. We got married on a very hot day and the garden area was perfect - spacious, plenty of seating and shade. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue is, outside and inside. The Harrington suite was also perfect - it accommodated 80 day and 120 evening guests comfortably. The room itself was perfect for the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception - having its own separate bar and toilets for the wedding guests.

A large number of guests stayed at Healds hall for either 1/2 nights. The rooms are comfortable and again very reasonably priced - the hotel even provided fans as it was very warm. The breakfast included provided many options - continental and a cooked breakfast to order and was delicious. On a side note, there are plenty of other hotels nearby which enabled guests to stay locally when all of the rooms were booked by our guests (approx 24 rooms). The staff couldn't have been more helpful in helping to arrange taxi's on the night.

The day itself was perfect and we truly feel this was down to our amazing suppliers and the team at Healds Hall. They simply could not do enough for us and the attention to detail was just amazing. We would recommend this venue to anyone getting married. The day itself felt so special and personable and this is something that not every venue can offer.

Really friendly staff and exactly what we wanted

I just wanted to write to say a massive thank you for making my daughter, Kellie, and Joe's wedding as special as it was. 

I dont think I have ever attended a wedding where everything has gone as smoothly as it did yesterday.

From checking into the hotel to leaving this morning we couldnt find fault with anything (and the other guests we have spoken to have all said exactly the same). 

The food, the rooms and the wedding itself were all top class, but more importantly your hotel staff are an absolute credit to you. Every single one of them were courteous, friendly and happy to help. If you could pass on our thanks to them all it would really be appreciated.

We will certainly be recommending Healds Hall to anyone we know who may be looking for a venue in the future.

Healds Hall was the perfect venue for our wedding. Matt and the team pulled out all the stops for our big day to make our vision a reality.

We asked for an outdoor ceremony which is something Healds Hall have never been able to do before, however this time around they made it happen! We had a lovely ceremony in the back garden of the property, and it was set up exactly the way we envisioned it. Matt and his team then did a quick turnaround to move the chairs inside to set up for the wedding breakfast.

The wedding breakfast was brilliant, we heard nothing but compliments about the food from all our guests, we would highly recommend the roast beef dinner!

After the wedding breakfast the HH team again we’re quick to turnaround the room ready for the night guests to arrive and the party to really start!

Throughout the day Matt continually checked in with me and my new husband to make sure we we’re happy, he showed us each set up before allowing the guests to go through. He always had a smile on his face there was never any stress as far as we could see!

We had several third parties booked for our wedding, a violinist, baker for the cake, live singer in the evening, decorating & a photo booth, matt communicated with each party to ensure they knew where to be and at what time to make sure everything went to the schedule. There was a small delay getting our cake cut and first dance at 8pm, but that is because our guests we’re thirsty and ready for a drink so to make sure everyone was happy he even jumped behind the bar to support his team.

We had the perfect day, we would highly recommend Healds Hall to anyone who is looking to book their wedding venue, it has recently been renovated to a really high standard with some quirky features which we loved. All our guests said how beautiful the venue is and how friendly and helpful the staff we’re.
