The hotel, which has 48 bedrooms and suites, has won many awards for the quality and excellence of its outstanding hospitality and food.
This impressive house, which has both Jacobean and Georgian facades, has been skilfully and sympathetically restored by Historic House Hotels, which has extended the restoration to include the 18th century stables, coach house and indoor riding school to create bedrooms and suites in Hartwell Court.
Set in over 90 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland, designed by Richard Woods , a follower of Lancelot (Capability) Brown, the hotel is approached by a sweeping drive that passes the ruins of a gothic church, and opens onto a vista of avenued trees, a lake with a stone bridge and the central equestrian statue of Frederick, Prince of Wales.
