Beautiful stately home with lush grounds, perfect if you want to have the feel of the forest with accommodation on site! The bridge, island and pavilion is the perfect spot to get married

We loved our venue looking online but we weren’t sure how it would be in person - SO much better than expected.
We always pictured a barn wedding and 90% of the places we viewed were barns!
This is so much more unique than what we were looking at and the island is just perfect with the bridge to have photos!
We cannot wait to get married here.

Before we viewed Hackness I was skeptical, I always pictured a barn wedding…
However, as soon as we arrived I fell in love. It’s private (FH says it’s like being in a fishbowl - and in the best way!) the greenery surrounding the main house and the courtyard where you get ready and can stay we’re just beautiful.
The honeymoon suite is unreal and I can’t wait to get pictures in my dress in the bath with the window behind!
The staff are amazing and so accommodating and reassuring - I had a LOT of questions, I’ve never done this before!
We have been talking with Phillipa before we get our coordinator and she’s so lovely and always so kind.
I cannot wait to have our day here. Everyone who has seen it has said how beautiful it is!

When we went to a wedding fair last year at York racecourse, my fiancé saw this venue on a stand and brochure. We both fell in love with it. Went to have a tour and the pictures don’t do it justice it’s even more stunning in person.. our wedding consultant on the day Philippa was amazing.. we booked our wedding there and then and cannot wait for our day now.
