At Silverholme Manor we believe in making your wedding as enjoyable as possible. The manor is equipped with all the comforts of your own home so there's no need to worry about bringing everything but the kitchen sink. We don't sell a wedding day, we help you create a wedding weekend to share with your nearest and dearest. We are here to help you create the weekend that you will never forget.
We know that your dreams will be as big as your day, so we don’t like to tell you what to do. We only ask that you work with our approved suppliers when selecting caterers, marquees and tipis. We have handpicked them ourselves, knowing that their products and services are of the same quality standard as Silverholme Manor.
All weddings with a marquee/tipi will be required to use our state of the art Zone Array PA System (inc. in hire charge) for speeches & music. These are directional speakers, required by local council restrictions.
Marquees & Tipis -
For parties of over 50 a marquee or tipi is required for your reception. The structure will be located on the purpose built astroturf alongside the Manor to guarantee a mud free day, no matter the month or weather.

Caterers -
Good news, we don’t charge corkage! If you would like a bar our caterers are happy to help and can quote you a price for service.
Our caterers have lots of experience working with us and our approved marquee and tipi suppliers. So let us take care of all the hard work whilst you relax and enjoy your day!

The Manor -
This Georgian Manor house is the perfect venue to relax and unwind with family and friends. Come and be inspired by the same panoramas that inspired the likes of Wordsworth and Ruskin. Built in 1820, Silverholme is a Grade II listed building. Lovingly and immaculately restored in 2013, Silverholme is the only carbon-neutral Georgian manor house in the country. It is fully furnished with all the modern luxuries but holds true to its period character. Light and spacious reception rooms together with elegantly designed en-suite bedrooms ensure guests experience the Lake District at its very best.
