Love in the Chilterns came with the love of strolls in lockdown with the man I had always been looking for. The hilltops and chocolate box houses were the backdrop to our ever beating hearts as two decided to become one.

There was no contest as to where we planned to tie the knot. We knew that our love for the hills were alive with the Chilterns beckoning for us to find our venue. Not long after I had said "Yes", we found an idyllic oasis, which we stumbled upon by surprise.

The suprise is how modest and seductive De Vere Latimer Estate is. It has this alluring, hypnotic vibe that made our eyes sparkle with delight. The grounds boast beautifully arranged flowers with a nostalgic Morris Minor Traveller taking us back in time. With the euphoric and inviting allure of the inside of the manor house, filled with attractive pieces of ornaments and artifacts to catch ones eye where we would least expect to see these eye catching pieces dotted around leading to the pièce de résistance or piece of resistance - the breathtaking staircase with the amazing stain glassed window.

The stain glassed window left us lost for words as our eyes could not stop staring at the sheer stunning detail in the window. The original owners of De Vere Latimer Estate kept this stain glassed window hidden away during World War II. For years its existence was not known. It was only during the recent big refurbishment that the stain glassed window was found. This eye catching stunningly amazing piece had to find centre stage, and at De Vere Latimer it certainly has achieved this.

The suite rooms situated in the manor are spacious with a living room to boost. These rooms are fit for the bride, groom and their guests to kick back and enjoy.

The Cavendish wedding hall, reception and private bar with balcony has been designed for the modern bride and groom, but holds all its charms from the past.

Why wouldn't a bride and groom choose such a venue for their special day? The grounds has its stunning backdrop with an amazing interior. Staff at De Vere Latimer Estate are friendly, polite and accommodating to our needs.
