Like so many couples who got engaged prior to the pandemic a lingering question remained Are going to wait for things to get back to normal and wait or take the plunge and get married. We chose the latter and Yes we planned a wedding in 4months in a pandemic. With the words “whatever funds we have will have to make do" because when Love calls you answer.

It was mixed emotions when we chose Charnock Farm. It was a place we loved, we visited the farm, pond and animals regularly prior to getting married as it was good to go relax and refresh the mind.

Due to the pandemic and the effect it had on businesses and the increase in furlough we went through 3 wedding coordinator which added alot of strain and anxiety to the planning . But l guess the right one was waiting for us. It would feel unfair to penalise my wedding coordinator Leslie and the team she had on our special day . Despite the disruption at the beginning .

Staff on the day was 4/5 they went above an beyond bringing our day together despite the last minute rush . They were attentive in bringing to life the vision we had

The barn has a rustic homely feel 5/5 stars. It is stunning room you can achieve many versatile decorative looks with . As we were on a budget we went for a simplistic look but because the room is stunning we didn’t need much.

Food and drink 4.5/ 5 , the packages are reasonably priced and the chef executes the meals so well . All our guests loved the food. He was very generous and managed to feed our last minute add on guests as well!!

The outer grounds 5/5 as it is a small little farm they have a public cafe and the public come to feed the ducks and fish and see the animals . This was a worry prior to booking however it did not disrupt our day or our pictures . Whilst doing our photos there was a little girl and her mom out playing . She actually moved out of the way were she was cycling and said l want to make way for the Princess mummy and gave me a flower she has picked ..This actually touched our hearts and made our day extra special!! The outdoor area is beautiful for pictures and the public are amazing

We may have not had much in funds but our special day came together because we had each other and our hard work came together A dream honeymoon would be the icing on top of a financially difficult year.

Overall Charnock Farm is a 4.5/5 if they could pull through together in a pandemic with staff changes and bring our fairy tale to life .. l believe there is so much more potential to offer in normal circumstances!!

The venue's wedding co-ordinator Clare has been fantastic every step of the way to help us put our dream day together and made us feel like the planning side of things was an absolute breeze. I could not recommend this venue enough 10/10

We have booked for Charnock Farm and what attracted us to the venue most was how helpful and chilled out the staff were! Just the vibe we are going for. Can’t wait for our big day!
