Within the historic setting of Blake Hall and its stunning private gardens, we are proud to offer you the beautifully restored 17th century barns for your exclusive use.

Licenced for civil weddings and partnership ceremonies, either inside the newly restored Hay Barn or outside under the canopy of the old Saddlery, Blake Hall Weddings is arguably the most attractive barn wedding venue in Essex.

Situated near the pretty town of Ongar, within the triangle of Epping, Brentwood and Harlow and within easy reach of both the M11 and M25, Blake Hall Weddings is conveniently located and yet, set within 60 acres of formal gardens and woodland, remains peaceful and tranquil for your exclusive use on your special day.

The Essex Barn seats between 50 and 150 guests for the wedding breakfast, can accommodate 200 guests in the evening and offers the convenience of the banqueting area, dance floor and licensed bar all under one roof.

As the venue is only offered for your exclusive use, you can marry either outside, under the Saddlery, or inside in the stunning Hay Barn and enjoy reception drinks outside on the pretty terraces and lawns between the barns, or inside in the spacious Hay Barn.

The Hay Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 150 guests and with its beam-lined aisle, and magnificent picture window, provides a beautiful, year round, in-door alternative for wedding ceremonies at Blake Hall.

It is also be available for reception drinks, if you chose not to be outside on the terrace, leaving the Essex barn for your wedding breakfast and evening entertainment.

We are also proud to offer the Stable Cottage, a delightful one bedroom cottage for the newly weds to enjoy on the night of their wedding as well as the Tack Room, The Carpenter's Shop and the Horse Box for their family and close friends. We can’t wait to get married in 2025. As soon as we saw Blake Hall it was the wedding venue for us. It’s the most stunning barn venue we have seen and it’s upkeep as well as the lovely member of staff Natalie have been second to none. A very special venue indeed :)
