Bisham Abbey is a Grade I listed manor house located near Marlow in Buckinghamshire, formerly the holiday home of Henry VIII and dating back all the way to 1260 AD. If you’re a couple who want a ‘wedding with wow’ guaranteed, Bisham’s got to be your first choice. We offer weddings, civil ceremonies, big events, more intimate ones, stunning backdrops, rooms steeped in history, all set on the banks of the iconic River Thames.
We’ve something for all party sizes, plus an array of catering options to satisfy all culinary requirements. Why not stop by the abbey for a complimentary menu tasting session before your big day. A great way of checking the quality we’re offering before your lucky guests get their chance.
We’re fully licensed to offer civil ceremonies in both the Warwick Room and the Great Hall. Located near the heart of the abbey, overlooking our beautiful lawns and the River Thames, the Warwick provides an intimate setting for up to 90 ceremony guests and up to 60 reception guests. While the majestic Great Hall, situated near the entrance of the abbey, can seat up to 150 ceremony guests and up to 120 reception guests.
Our dedicated wedding coordinators guide you through the entire planning process from initial inquiry all the way up to the big day. Our team puts its heart and soul into making sure your event runs like a dream, providing their own expertise, but always on hand to tailor the day according to the vision you had for this most memorable of all occasions.

Our wedding Co ordinator Melissa has been fantastic in helping us plan our dream day, and has managed my stresses (read also bridezilla moments) superbly.
The team at Bisham, particularly Wedding Coordinator Melissa, genuinely go beyond anyone's expectations in the effort put in to make each couples day special.
Melissa ensured the day ran seamlessly, and adapted to our many requests! She was continously kind and responsive, and a true asset to Bisham.
Mark was also incredible on the day, and the food truly outstanding, even allowing us to design a unique menu!
All staff, from catering, to security, to the incredible bartender who worked tirelessly all day & night long, were so incredibly friendly and could not do enough.
We cannot recommend Bisham enough for a wedding!
