Gaynor Russell, Company Director Gaynor has been overseeing Balbirnie’s wedding planning department for almost 2 decades, and is also a director of our company. Gaynor has been the recipient of our country’s national award – Scotland’s Hotelier of the Year, (indeed the youngest ever recipient of that unique accolade!), and speaks from a wealth of experience at Balbirnie, having started here back in the late 1990’s. Gaynor is herself a previous Balbirnie Bride - married to Nicholas, our Managing Director, and together they have two daughters, Isobel and Ruby (wedding planners in training!) Gaynor also oversees all of Balbirnie’s evolving interior design work, a continual process of reinvestment back into the property. Christine Lowe, Senior Wedding Co-ordinator Christine joined the Balbirnie Family in early 2015, having previously worked in Bridal Fashion and takes interest in anything creative that crosses her path. She is extremely well-versed in all aspects of wedding planning and is a past Balbirnie bride herself! Leah Kinnes, Wedding Co-ordinator Leah has been working at Balbirnie since summer 2014. Finishing education she started fresh as an administrative assistant with a passion for weddings and events. In 2015 Leah began planning weddings and is now well-versed in all aspects of the planning. Katy Ronaldson, Special Events Co-ordinator Katy joined the Balbirnie family late 2021 after previously working in other hotels in weddings & events. Katy looks after all of our special events, private dining, meetings and corporate functions, as well as some of our weddings, so she is a very busy girl!
