Kent’s Allington Castle is a medieval 12th-century castle located about three miles northwest of Maidstone.
Despite being a private residence, the Great Hall, Barn, and Gardens are available for exclusive weddings, corporate events, and filming.
Follow in the footsteps of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, who dined with Sir Thomas Wyatt in our Great Hall in the 16th century. You and your guests will enjoy the romantic atmosphere that this grand room offers. (Capacity 100-Ceremony & Wedding Breakfast)
Allington Castle and Barn are not open to the general public. This means you can enjoy the most wonderful uninterrupted, and exclusive picturesque setting with your friends and family.
Your evening reception (Capacity 150) would be held in our lovingly restored barn. We’ll light up the castle in the background for you and your guests to enjoy.

Kerrie is fantastic, she is friendly and helpful and always responds so quickly to any questions that I have. We knew as soon as we drove along the road into the venue that this was the place we wanted to get married. We were planning on a budget as we were also saving for a mortgage at the time of booking the venue. They’ve been nothing but accommodating for us and have helped us to achieve having our dream venue; both Kerry who is the coordinator and Steve from Invicta Foods have been brilliant so far. We can’t wait for our wedding date, roll on 2023!
