Nestled on the quiet side of New Town, the hotel is only a few steps away from the village of Stockbridge, rich with independent shops and restaurants. These elegant Georgian townhouses date back to 1817 and were originally the residence of Scottish literary critic and University Professor John Wilson. Today, it opens its doors to guests worldwide while preserving its historical grandeur. The hotel has no lift or air-conditioning to preserve the delicate structure and historical heritage. However, every room boasts modern comforts, from flat-screen TVs to espresso machines.

The 27 rooms pay homage to traditional Scottish architecture. Each room of this boutique hotel is unique and individually designed decor. Our 7 cosy Wee Double and Single rooms feature refreshing rain showers. 4 Townhouse Petites provide a spacious bathtub for unwinding, some equipped with in-built hydrojets for deeper massages. The upper categories of our rooms, such as the 9 Townhouse Grand or the 4 Junior Suite rooms, allow family retreats, featuring a double sofabed where you can cosy up and sleep. Our top 3 rooms are the Jacuzzi suites, offering a personal haven to escape stress, indulge in bubbles, and bask in the luxury of a pampered retreat.
