B E F O R E T H E D A Y
Lets face it, the majority of our relationship will take place outside of your wedding day and for me, this time period is really key and often has a direct effect on the outcome of your final images. My goal from the start is to really get to know you both. Not necessarily what you do for a living and what your favourite food is but more about what kind of people you are, what your
particular vibe is and how you see yourself. Before anything else I want to become your friend and I want to make you comfortable in my presence, which of course is easy because I'm just such a great guy, haha.
We start off with an initial consult, usually done at your house or a place of your choosing. we can also do this remotely but I really prefer to meet with you in person. We discuss your day and some of the things that you have planned, we all get excited about it (especially me) and then we discuss possible shoot ideas and for me, I like to give you a sense of what I can bring to the table in terms of my brand and style. Along with showing you some visual examples of past work, I like to leave you with of a vision of what your wedding collection could look like. Obviously there is no obligation to book at this point, its just me coming to have a conversation with you about my favourite subject, weddings. But more importantly, its for us to really find out if we like each other, its about assessing if we really are the right fit. I can't think of anything worse than to spend the most special day of your life with someone you don't like after all. But no matter the outcome you will always benefit from our conversation, just because im full of the most amazing advice that anyone could ever give you for you day, haha.
O N T H E D A Y
By this time all the relevent homework will have been done, regarding the venue, shoot locations and ideas that we would have previously planned
together in our final consult prior to the big day. I will have planned your entire day with military precision for it all to just fall apart once the action begins, haha. I'm joking, but not entirely. Weddings should be enjoyed and relaxed. yes I like to plan heavily beforehand but in no way will you ever feel the weight of my military agenda. Weddings are best captured as they take their natural course, which is never decided before the day but on the day itself, which is what I love most, the unscripted moments make the day. My goal on the day is really to appear as any of your guests would. Dressed well and joining in with the celebration. From the moment I appear at bridal prep my beginning stages is just to get you used to the new me. The version of me that just so happens to have a camera in his hand. You will find me conversing with you all day as a friend would, even when we are on a shoot I will be talking with you all the time. This really helps to normalise the situation and encourages you be often much more relaxed than you thought you would. It
also helps for facial expression and smiles. Far better to say something funny (sometimes just stupid) and capture a genuine smile than to simply ask you for
a fake one. The same goes for posing. I never really ask you to stand in a certain way or give me a certain look, this is just unnatural and often awkward. I prefer to choose a composition, a scene, and simply put you in it along with the vision of how I'm imaging the shot. If I require a certain facial expression that I'm not
seeing then I will simply attempt to influence this through our conversation.

Matthew Frost Photography Reviews

This is why he should not be trusted and has deleted his accounts.

We were impressed with how beautiful the usb & presentation box was, very posh.
Recommend him and his fantastic work he has done for our wedding day.

On the day we couldn’t have hoped for a better experience - when he needed to direct us for photos he did, and when he wanted candid shots we didn’t even notice he was there!! I’m no oil painting but he even managed to get some photos of me looking half decent for which I’m extremely grateful!!!
His service on the day was awesome, and I should also say he couldn’t have been more helpful with rearranging times and dates (due to the covid restrictions) and turned the edited photos around remarkably quickly. Matt was professional, friendly, funny, and most of all great at getting the job done - genuinely a legend (and no, he hasn’t paid me to say this and I didn’t know him before our wedding!)
I would have no hesitation recommending Matt and would encourage you to book him if you want a combination of natural and traditional wedding photos - we are extremely happy with our photos and it’s also worth saying the photos we got were sent on a branded USB stick in a gorgeous box which will make a good little keepsake.
5 stars for a top photographer and a great service

Thank you Matthew you’re the absolute BEST !!!!!

Thank you for capturing our day, Matt. We’d totally recommend!

Our first day was the church wedding and English traditional celebration. The second day was a traditional Nigerian celebration. We are very thankful for all his inspiration and ideas to make the most of the venues and produce the most beautiful pictures.
You could clearly tell his experience with wedding photography because he was always in the right place, at the right time and he made sure that he captured the best moments with the guests having fun, whilst capturing the two very different cultures coming together.
From the beginning to the end he managed to secure a wonderful compilation, a mixture of people, venues, decorations and surroundings.
Thank you once again!

Meet the Owner

Oh Hey! I'm Matt and I cant't express to you enough how happy I am to be having this conversation with you. It gives me the chance to talk about the two things that I love most, weddings and photography. Thankfully my greatest passion is also my hobby,my career and my business. I gave up a very stable job to go back into education with a dream of becoming a master of photography and creating a truly unique editorial natural style and brand. In case you are wondering "why photography", I have always been an artist, since the early days in school, this was always my subject. Just having the right to express yourself and to create something unique to you always appealed to me more than anything else. I am now a father to two wonderful children (and more cats than my wife would like) and a husband to an amazing women. I hold a first class degree in photography along with qualifications in Adobe creative software. I have previously been awarded for some of my landscape photography and I also have a background in wildlife photography. Why am I telling you this about my previous areas of the photography? well because these same areas have inspired the style that you see before you now. I employ a very natural style, in the way that I shoot, in the way that I interact with my subjects and in the way that I like to compose images and the natural elements that I strive to include within them where ever possible. I rarely shoot models but for sure I can make you look like one. Lets continue this journey together a little more........
