At The Canary Shed we believe that as your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life it should be celebrated for more than just one day, right?!? So why not make a weekend out of it, stay with your nearest and dearest for two nights; have a big meal as a family the night before, style out the venue to make it your own, get ready together in the morning… and then, when you cant wait a moment longer, party like there’s no tomorrow with up to 120 of your favourite people on your big day! We are looking for couples who want anything but ordinary. Colour, style, upbeat vibes and fun are all words we would use to describe weddings at The Canary Shed. If you are bored with the traditional garden wedding and the historic mansion setting doesn’t do it for you, check us out!

The Canary Shed is a quirky, fun and alternative wedding venue located on a countryside farm in Burnham on Crouch on the coast of Essex.
Exclusive use of our onsite self-catering accommodation comes included within our wedding weekends, enabling you to invite up to 30 of your nearest and dearest to spend some quality time with you before and after the big day itself!
From the huge interior walls which have been renovated piece by piece using recycled potato-crates, to the hundreds of individually cut, painted and hung birds that decorate the vast ceiling; it’s easy to see why The Canary Shed is totally one-of-a-kind.
Our in-house wedding coordinator comes included within the package to help make the planning process as fun and stress free as possible for our couples.

What a stunning, laid back and quirky venue!
What a stunning, laid back and quirky venue. We had been engaged for 7yrs before finally booking our wedding, and The Canary Shed was the first and only venue we looked at. It ticked so many boxes for us so we went for it, and it was the right decision. From the moment we booked to the time we checked out (the day after the wedding) it was LAID BACK and FUN. All the staff were so helpful and our guests said it was the best wedding they’d been to. Thank you for making our day the best day of our lives, literally :)

Our wedding was out of this world, The Canary Shed is an absolutely stunning venue and we wish we could do it all over again. The staff were so lovely and went out of their way to be incredibly helpful. We loved that our wedding celebrations could be spread out over a weekend and loved that we could have family and friends stay in the accommodation alongside us. Everything was dog friendly which was extra bonus points for us as we had all 3 family pets at our wedding which made it extra special. We will be visiting for years to come and love the parlour cafe that is on site too, lovely food and drinks options. We would also like to give a big shout out to Jade who helped us along the way and for being such a lovely human being

Well what can we say!
Well what can we say or where to start, you and the team were absolutely fantastic, you really made our Wedding day perfect. It was not just the timing of the day ensuring everything flowed seamlessly, but it was the little items such as making sure people had pizzas (and went and got them), and bottles of drink in the barns. You looked after the caterers to ensure that the food was first class and laid out so incredibly well. You made everyone feel at home and relaxed and we have had nothing but positive feedback from every single person.
Your pre-planning, keeping us on track, the outstanding venue , the faultless accommodation and the absolutely amazing staff , made our weekend something to remember

We had the best day of our lives!
We had the best day of our lives getting married at the Canary Shed. The venue is absolutely stunning and offers lovely on site accommodation for us and our close friends to get ready in and spend time together. Jade, and the whole canary shed team were impeccable from day 1, whether it was dealing with our incessant queries and mind-changing, helping us test run our nerdy little homemade escape room elements, or taking care of all the details on the day to help keep our stress levels right down.
Everything went so incredibly smoothly, and that was 100% down to Jade and her all-encompassing shared spreadsheet, we couldn't have asked for a better coordinator.
