So you’ve just got engaged and you’re in the process of choosing your wedding venue, a very important decision because let’s be honest, if your venue isn’t everything you desire then your day won’t be either. Here at The Villa we have numerous function rooms that are sure to make your wedding day the best it could possibly be. Here is an overview of just one of the ‘typical wedding days’ at The Villa.
Your guests will arrive an hour before the ceremony is due to start and gather in The Piano Lounge to mingle with fellow guests and the nervous Groom. The bar will be fully stocked and open to calm any last minute jitters- but don’t go overboard you at least want to be able to say your vows!
At 11.40 the wedding party will be led into The Hall for the 12pm wedding ceremony. Once all the guests are out of eyeshot, the beautiful bride will descend the sweeping staircase from the Bridal parlour to greet her father, who will surely have a tear in his eye. Your bridesmaids will then lead the way down the aisle where you will finally become Husband and Wife.
At 12.30pm, once the ceremony has finished, the newlyweds will lead guests back to The Piano Lounge, where arrival drinks and canapés will be served. This is the perfect time to chat amongst guests, refill your glasses and have your wedding day photos taken. Pictures can be taken anywhere at The Villa, whether it be on the magnificent sweeping staircase or in the beautiful outdoor gardens, it will surely be picture perfect!
At 2pm guests will collect the Champagne and gather in The Pavilion for the highly anticipated speeches and cutting of the cake. Don’t worry grooms, there is a fully stocked bar in there too!
Around 2.45pm the Wedding breakfast will be served. The Villa offers a vast range of delicious wedding breakfast’s to choose from. The breakfast will give the Groom the opportunity to relax knowing that he no longer has to do anymore public speaking and the Bride can revel in how proud she is of her new husband.
Come 4.45pm, guests will be led back into The Piano Lounge where tea and coffee will be served. Whilst the Pavilion is being turned around ready for the evening party, guests can relax and prepare themselves for the night ahead.
At 7pm the evening party will begin and more guests will start to arrive in order to celebrate your special day with you. Whether you want a DJ or live band for your evening entertainment the Villa can accommodate. With its fantastic state of the art sound ceiling that provides the atmosphere of a nightclub on the dance floor, but once you step off the ability to easily chat at your table, or at the bar, your evening party will be one to remember!
Supper will be served at 9.30pm which again, a various range of choices are available.
Once guests are full on food and drink they can continue to party the night away until the bar closes at midnight. For the residents at The Villa the bar in the restaurant will remain open until 2am. But for those who are ready to retire early, they can sleep peacefully and comfortably in one of our spacious, elegant hotel rooms.

Your wedding breakfast could be an intimate meal of a dozen friends in our beautiful Garden Suite, a luxurious occasion in our historical Villa restaurant for 100 guests, or a grand celebration in our beautiful Pavilion marquee which is licensed for civil The bridal parlour, available for you and your bridesmaids to get ready in comes complete with “Hollywood” style mirror for makeup and hair perfection and is an ideal way to start your special day. We have two rooms available for your day, one which is like an old hall style with wooden beams in the ceiling and large fireplace at one end complemented by 3 chandeliers down the centre. Our other room is dressed like a marquee on the inside with ivory drapes giving you that quality feel for your special day and two arched windows allow you out into a walled garden area where you can relax in comfortable seating. The lounge area is just as impressive with a sweeping staircase that brings you down from the state bedrooms to your guests.
