Hidden amongst the picturesque cobbled streets of the quaint Hampstead Village, just steps away from the breath-taking views of the Heath, lies the Grade I listed Burgh House & Hampstead Museum, built in 1704. Steeped in history and boasting plenty of character and original features, this is the perfect wedding venue for couples looking to marry in a historic location with all the charm of a country village, with the convenience of the city.

With 300 years of history, Burgh House's beautiful, historic panelled rooms provide a unique and elegant backdrop for weddings and receptions. You have a choice of three characterful rooms; the traditional Music Room ideal for weddings and receptions, the Library which is perfect for intimate ceremonies and the modern Peggy Jay Gallery which can be used for receptions. All rooms can be dressed in accordance with your wishes and we invite you to add your own personal touches.

Whether you choose a lavish canapé reception after your ceremony, an elegant afternoon tea or a full sit down wedding breakfast our dedicated on-site catering team will devise the perfect menu just for you. The talented and creative team are also always happy to hear your own ideas, so if you have something in mind that would make your day, please do discuss this with us.

Beautiful Intimate London Venue
We held our wedding ceremony at Burgh House in May 2016. It was absolutely perfect for us, looking for a pretty London venue alternative to a registry office. The location was easy to get to, a short walk from Hampstead station. Several of our guests met beforehand in one of the local pubs before walking down the pretty residential streets to the venue. Others arrived early at Burgh House and had a look round the upstairs museum. It has a beautiful ceremony room complete with piano, an outside garden area if the weather is in your favour or an indoor gallery room if it’s a bit colder. Staff were exceptionally helpful and the post ceremony catering was delicious. We later hired a bus to take us to a larger venue for the rest of the day but if our party had been smaller then we could have happily spent the whole day at Burgh House. Would highly recommend.

We got married at Burgh House the venue was perfect for the friendly atmosphere and. Size for a small ceremony the staff were lovely and the music room is so romantic !! We are very lucky to have this lovely house on Hampstead

We had the Best wedding day at Burgh house!! The food was amazing, the most delicious afternoon tea, prosecco and the house is just stunning! We didn't need to worry about a thing..Mark & Marc did an awesome job at taking care of everything!
