I stayed for my friend’s wedding.

It's not easy to find yummy plant-based meals at events, but I loved the vegan options which were unreal!

The team are mega. Shoutout to the manager, who made us laugh all weekend and went the extra mile to make sure everything on the day ran like clockwork.

I also want to mention the wedding coordinator (Abbey?), whose attention to detail was evident throughout the day.

Our wedding at Llangoed Hall was everything we could have dreamed of 🥰The day was incredible, with the Welsh weather delivering sunshine and the most beautiful sunset in the evening. All our guests absolutely loved it and 100% agreed with our decision to choose this venue. All the Staff made the day run smoothly. From enquiry to departure our hand was held and I cannot thank Abbie enough for making the whole experience worry-free and 💗

Where do we start… We had the perfect day at Llangoed Hall celebrating our September wedding. There’s not many things in life that give you butterflies in your tummy but every time we think about our wedding it does just that. It was perfect from start to finish and we wouldn’t have changed a thing! We were lucky enough to spend the night before our wedding here too, enjoying the build up with our family and friends and it allowed us to decorate everything ourselves and not have the stress of doing everything in the morning. We also all enjoyed an evening meal and then headed to the snooker room! Llangoed hall is beautiful both in the sunshine and rain (one of the main reasons we picked it as ‘You can’t rely on the Welsh weather!’), but we managed to have the sun which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful gardens and grounds and have the most amazing photos. Inside is equally as beautiful and plenty big enough to accommodate everyone (90 in total). We had canapés and drinks outside where the younger ones could run around and enjoy themselves, and then inside for our delicious wedding breakfast (the food was amazing!). Then the party with the band Northern Ruins and the Mid Wales Roadshow in the evening. It was the perfect end to the day . We honestly couldn’t recommend Llangoed Hall enough. It really was the dream wedding venue. The rooms are all individually designed by Laura Ashley and all have such a homely feel. We will forever be grateful for being able to get married there I and can’t thank everyone at Llangoed enough. Abbie was brilliant and any question that we had , she would reply immediately to, which really did help make the planning so easy and stress free. Abbie you are made for this job! We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary next year and also for the Christmas market next month. Llangoed is just magical and will always have a special place in our hearts. It was a dream come true and felt like our home for the weekend with having exclusive use for the two days 🥰☺️. We will never be able to thank you all enough.

Words can’t describe how amazing our experience has been.

In 2023, we decided Llangoed hall would be our chosen wedding venue, and we knew when we first met Abbie and Jeremy they were the people we instantly trusted to give us the most perfect day. They did not disappoint.

From the visits to the venue, to tastings, and anything we needed the team were outstanding. You will not find a better team of people, the venue is beautiful, it’s such a wonderful place to be.

We are so thankful to Abbie, Jeremy and the team for giving us the absolute best day/night ever.

We cannot wait to come back at Christmas time and throughout the year.

We had the most amazing wedding day and weekend at Llangoed Hall.

We searched the country for our wedding venue as we had such specific requirements - we wanted intimate spaces, yet somewhere big enough for our evening party band. We wanted exclusive use and something we could spend the weekend in, and big enough for majority of our guests to stay. We wanted an outdoor wedding so beautiful gardens, but an equally nice indoor option (as you can’t depend on the British summer). And most importantly for us, anything but that ‘wedding factory’ feel. Llangoed Hall ticked every box and more.

The first time we pulled up and saw how amazing the house is we were crossing our fingers that this was our venue. Once walking inside and seeing the spaces, we were hooked. The bedrooms are all stunning and so unique and we loved hearing from our friends and family how their room was the nicest. The space for the wedding breakfast has beautiful light and feels so intimate and yet sat all of our 60 guests with ease!

We were also lucky enough to get married on the lawn and have photos in the gardens. We loved using the spaces in the house for different parts of the wedding - the blue room for breakfast in the mornings, the games room for the men to get ready in, the lounge for our cake cutting, and the garden room for our wedding breakfast and evening party.

We cannot speak highly enough of both Abbie and Jeremy who really are the heart and soul of Llangoed Hall and ensured that our weekend went perfectly. Even when things behind the scenes didn’t go perfectly (staff calling in sick), Abbie and Jeremy did not falter and we had no idea until the next day! We also loved hearing about the history of the house from them!

Living over two hours away from the venue, we were in constant communication with Abbie who put any concerns we had at ease and answered any questions big or small we had about the planning of the weekend. You can tell she does this in her sleep and we felt totally at ease.

The food was beautiful the entire weekend. From our ladies meal the night before (the men enjoyed a meal at the pub in Hay-on-Wye), the wedding breakfast and evening food - the pizzas went down a treat! To the breakfasts - it was all faultless.

Llangoed Hall really felt like a home away from home and this was what we were searching for when choosing our wedding venue. All of our guests loved it and we cannot wait to return for afternoon tea!

My wife and I got married at this stunning venue in March '24. We had an incredible day and any and all of our requests were met with enthusiasm and a smile. Abbie and Jeremy were always available in the run-up to the event which made the whole process very easy on us. On the evening itself, Margo was brilliant at ensuring the reception went as smoothly as possible and tailoring everything to give us the most personalised experience. Whether it was giving our greyhounds love and attention, sorting 75 doughnuts into vegan/not vegan or fetching granny a late-night coffee with 6 sugars (we were shocked as well!), there was no ask too big and that was our favourite part about Llangoed. Thank you all!

Myself and Alwyn along with our family and friends had the pleasure of having Llangoed Hall as our wedding venue. It was the 9th December and the most magical Christmas wedding. We were welcomed by Jeremy and Abbie and all the friendly staff at the hotel with open arms. From the start of all the planning to the day itself nothing was a problem, Jeremy and Abbie were extremely obliging and laid back, leaving myself and Alwyn feeling very calm. Food was out of this world, we had up to 110 guests and all food was served warm and quickly, staff friendly and helpful. Nothing was an issue. We take every opportunity to go back and spend time at the hotel, also before the wedding whether it be for lunch or coffee or just to look around because we loved being there so much. Already planning to go back on our anniversary. Our guests also fed-back that it was possibly the loveliest wedding they’d been to with a warm welcome feeling cosy and very calm with fires lit, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful Christmas trees.
It really did make our day magical.
And to finish off it was the best breakfast to wake up to, I think I spoke about that more than anything else 🙂
We only wish we could do it all over again.

Jess at Llangoed hall has been so helpful so far. She helped us to move out our wedding and makes the whole planning process so much easier. The venue itself is stunning and we cannot wait to heft married there!
