I just felt the need to write this after reading so many reviews on other forums from brides who wanted to marry on the beach in Cyprus, but were told - like i was - they couldn't legally marry on the beach. That is WRONG!! My partner and i are getting married in Paphos, Cyprus, May 20th 2011. It will be exactly 1 year since the first beach front wedding there. It will be held on St Georges Beach and arranged by the ONLY planner on the island licensed to do so (he was involved with GMTV wedding!). I was disappointed when i was told that i couldn't marry on the beach, so after reading reviews on T. Adv, decided on Peyia Town Hall. I called them directly and arranged date etc. I then told the lady - Maria - that i had wanted to marry on the beach, but had been told by many wedding planners that i couldn't. She made my year when she told me that actually, i could! She gave me the contact details for Igor at I do Weddings and since then, things have only gotten better! We have a very small budget to play with, but still want a beautiful, classy wedding and reception. Igor sent me details of his website and i couldn't believe how economical our wedding could be, without compromising on quality! Igor has called me and emailed me on many occasions since i first contacted him with many suggestions. Nothing has been too much trouble.... even my Libran tendency to indecision!! I have pictures of the beach set up for the ceremony, so if anyone wants to see them, just message me and i will email them to you along with Igor's details. I can't believe how many planners told me that i couldn't get married on the beach!! now i have my perfect day to look forward to and all the headache taken away as i know the detail is in safe hands :) If you have any questions, please ask away, and good luck with your weddings!!
