So on the news, there's a couple in Bristol with 33 guests whom got married in Maccie D's as it's there favourite restaurant. They can't have alcohol, and the food is the standard. It was a quick wedding where they section off half the place, but other people can still go in.
Certainly different!
Would you have your wedding here? Or at your fave restaurant? Thoughts/opinions?
I love my local chip shop but i don't think i can do it. Fair play to those people though!

yuk ....
i doubt it was a marriage there as it wont hold a licence
celebrating your wedding at McDonald's ... that takes the (affordably priced ice cream) cake. Yet that's what English lovebirds Steven Asher and Emily Marshall plan to do when their wedding day arrives on July 27. After tying the knot at a registry office, the couple will arrive at a Bristol restaurant via stretch limo and feast on McDonald's — McNuggets for her, a chicken burger for him — with 40 of their guests. Steven says Emily requested the meal because the couple shared several first dates at McDonald's, and "what my princess wants, my princess gets."
Aww what a way to treat your Princess, take her to Maccies! Romance isn't dead. Bless them.

Hmmm, get married in macccyds, sell story to paper - they'll have thousands to spend on a honeymoon, at least!
That said, fair play of the generally did it out of sentimental reasons - to each there own, I suppose xx

I do like it when people get married in such quirky ways and don't 'conform to tradition' (for want of a better phrase!) BUT this is going slightly too far, seeing as they didn't even get the whole place!!!
So.. No, I wouldn't get married in McDonalds!!
CommentAuthor*The NewMrsMalin*
Definately not but I guess if it is what they wanted :S

Certainly not for me, but a lot of people do get married in their favourite restaurant.

Haha this was front page on the local paper (im from bristol area!) Its ridiculous isnt it. They aren't getting married there though, nor holding the evening recepfion there just the wedding breakfast of burgers and lemonade! They asked if they could have champagne but not allowed so toasting with lemonade.. like laurajo said, theyve now made loads of money from the story and can have a big honeymoon. X
