Nope. I'm not gunna go all out cuz how many people will actually appreciate it and take it home with them after... Guaranteed they will be dumped everywhere at the end of the night. xx

Not at all!
I quite like mint imperials - probably most people do. Not everyone likes sugar almonds.

awesome i was thinking alternate between chocolate eclairs and mint imperials so people can swap :D

Awesome idea! Id love to receive that as a wedding favour xxx
It wouldn't be terrible but I did do this myself and it wasn't a great hit. I used heart shaped mints that had "I do" and "Mr & Mrs" wrote on the front, they were lovely BUT they got left and most people went for the chocolates although they weren't really my favours, I had candle holders for everyone. I didn't mind though, as the mints were cheap I didn't feel like it had gone to waste.

yeah the bags are like 7cm by 9cm so they're not small so i think eclairs maybe a better idea xx

no i think its fine hun xx

i think making a mix would work well, as someone else said, perhaps some with eclairs, and some with mint imperials.

i had love heart sweet rappers made on ebay personalised with our names and the date of the wedding (£5) and then bought the sweets for £8 and stuck them on myself :) £13 for 100 favours :) xx
CommentAuthorkatie_lou
i love the love hearts idea... think we will defo be doing this! thanks plantolana!

We bought a couple of huge boxes of mixed ferreros from the supermarket to put in little organza bags just for something pretty on the table they had them with coffee after the meal. Also did our own sweet buffet ourselves as the big favour.
xx
CommentAuthorDee37
PS Love hearts also come in other themes and are great, I had them for my hen do and put them in some little goodie bags i made for them all. x
CommentAuthor~feebee~
I'm thinking of love hearts and other sweets since our theme is hearts and we are sweethearts lol
Finally Mrs Grove :)

i am having both love hearts and heart shaped mints in black organza bags as our favours so no i think its a great idea... i got some haribo hearts for the kids as well.
CommentAuthorTsukijin
Nothing wrong with that :) I'm having chocolates in a tube lol, bay hobby, alot of people feed them to their kids or leave them behind anyway so I don't think it's an area that you need a huge budget for. At least no one will have an excuse for coffee breath! Xxx

i think it sounds like a great ieda, not everyone will take them home anyway, I had loads left over from my first wedding so im not doing anything expensive this time around either. x

I think mint imperials sound great, much better than sugared almonds IMO. the last wedding I went to everyone was given a pretty box with sugared almonds and nearly all of them were left behind (I took the box and ditched the almonds!) so there i dont think there is much point in going to too much trouble

@plantolana Wow, you did really well there! x

Nobody likes sugared almonds but nearly everyone appreciates a mint or chocolate. I think chocolate limes are nice. They would be good if you are having a summery pastel green colour scheme. x

I think it's a great idea if you want to have favours. I have been agonizing about favours and have now decided not too have them. I have been to weddings without favours and did not miss them. I have decided to have a sweets table instead, with personalised lovehearts and kitkat wrappers (both can be bought cheaply on the bay of e), plus lollipops, mints, penny sweets etc. Go for what you feel comfortable with. On a personal note: if I went to a wedding with mint imperial favours I would probably nick as many as I could as I looooove mint imperials ;0)
CommentAuthorliannegoodwood
I think thats a much better idea than sugar Almonds as not everybody likes them, but most people like mints =)
I can not wait to be Mrs Webster
CommentAuthorJacs
Ooooh! I just had a thought, mint imperials would be better as so many people have nut allergies these days!
