what are you having: Bride and Father to walk down the aisle 1st and BMs to follow or vise versa?
what is tradition? xx

in front of you?
or
they walk all the way to the front, then you enter the room?

in uk they traditionally walk behind you.

But we are starting to adopt the us tradition more and more, where they walk in front of you.

I want them to walk in front of me, so im the last one down. But my gran, minister etc all say that is the wrong way.I guess ill need to wait and see

I had two BMs walking in together, then when they were about halfway down my MOH walked in, then when she was halfway down I walked in xx

i`m doing it so my daughters walk in in age order ... youngest first ..

This is the order I did

Oldest Flower Girl and Page boy
BM & Flower Girl
MOH & Flower Girl
Me & Dad

Sadly, I don't think my eldest two children will be at my wedding. I wanted my son to give us away. At the moment I am thinking that Jenny and I will walk down the aisle together which I think will be fitting as our family is mostly me, my daughter and my h2b.

my bms are going then my cheif bm then me and my dad

all my fg's and bm's and pb, are going first then when they have all reached the end of the aisle i will start to walk in, the music is timed perfectly to get to the end as it just about finishes if they go to plan :) x

It depends on the ceremony.

Church ceremonies traditionally the bridesmaids follow the bride down the aisle because the bride has to turn to give her bouquet to her maid of honour to hold during the ceremony and vows.

More modern ceremonies like Prince William's, the bride goes down the aisle after the bridesmaids when they are at the front of the room so that her entrance is grander. A lot of civil ceremonies do this also as it allows the bridesmaids to take their places at the front so the bride can join her fiance before the registrar without her bridesmaids pushing past her to take their seats.

american way is bridesmaids and flower girls followed by bride and dad.

im personally havin flower girls and bridesmaid then me and my dad cause i want my sister and friends and my daughter to see me walking down the isle aswell x

I'm thinking I get more of a grand entrance if I go first than if they do, so that's what I'm doing. :)

my flower girls and bridemaids are going before me with my daughter and sister going first as my daughter is the ringbearer. then just my maid of honour behind me x

I don't know whether to have my brother-in-law2b walking down with my MoH or the flowergirl.
MoH- I think of her as my sister, so it would be fitting for h2b's brother to walk with her
Flowergirl- she's his half sister and might be nervous walking down first on her own. Or might just veer off and do her own thing, since she's only a toddler.

Also h2b's brother isn't a groomsmen as we didn't think he was able to come until recently, but we want him to be part of the day, since he's not part of the bridal party (if he becomes a groomsmen, my sisters will pitch fits because I don't want them as bridesmaids)

I think I might send the bridesmaids first so that they get some attention. Without sounding like a diva, I don't want everyone to be looking at me and ignoring them if they're behind me (I'm spending enough on them so people can flippin' well have a good look at them, lol) x

tbh haven't decided yet...

probably the 2pageboys first they wont understand each other though as one is my godson from germany the other my nephew2b both will be 5/ 5and a half by than... wanting a flowergirl but no little girls in the family so after that is 1bm sil2b than i guess me dont know if my dad or mum is walking with me... might ask my uncle to walk me down as i'm not as close to my dad and dont really wanna upset mum if i walk with dad nor dad if i walk with mum so i guess either walking alone or maybe my lovely uncle... after myself i guess i need my moh as she can look after my train / dress etc... but of course depending on the dress might be she is walking before myself :)
