I picked my brother, Pidge is having his best mate Grace. We wanted people not in the bridal party so more people are involved. (Couldn't have CBM anyway because she is too young).
Now a extremely happy German housewife and now a Mother!!!!

We have chose our 2 best friends as they are hubby and wife and been together for ever so it seems fitting we also wanted someone not in the bridal party and these pair have taken a loan out to come abroad so gone out of there way to make sure they were there on our day xx

My Pops and Ross' mum are witnessing for us - my mum's giving me away, Ross' dad is hugely involved in the Groom's party so there wasn't much else for Pops and MIL to do so we thought it would be lovely to get them involved by being witnesses for us xxx

As far as I know it's traditional to have the mum's to be the witnesses. However, as my mum passed away 6 years ago we're having MIL2B and my God Mother (next best thing to your mum!) to be witnesses, although we've not asked them yet. If we didn't get them to do this they wouldn't really have a role and I know they would both love to do it.
However I have been a witness for a friend before, so it's who you want. I think it is a good idea to have someone you each choose.

I was going to have a non VIP guest but that's changed. Now as I have 3 bms, I want them all on par. So one is doing a reading (oldest friend), one is signing the register (another old friend who I talk to a lot) and the third is sitting at the top table (my sister)

Originally, we were going to have my sister and his sister, and my sis hubby doing reading, but he didn't want to do reading so my sis is doing reading and he is going to be witness. (confused? Gets worse! lol) Now he is not inviting any of his family (long story) so we are going to get my 17 year old son to be other witness! x
