does anyone know when we should give the gifts out to bridesmaids, ushers, bestman, flowergirl, pageboys and mum's and dad's? do you give them in the morning or during the speeches? thanks xx

We gave bridesmaids in the morning (since it included the jewellery they were wearing), ushers and best man during the speeches (as it included a pint) and parents the next day.
Now a extremely happy German housewife and now a Mother!!!!

Yeah best during the speeches, the one from the hubby, we had planned to do that, but was so taken with the moment we forgot, so we did it after & got to thank his mum again for all her help.

We are doing a combination. Bridesmaids have had thier's - it was thier jewellery and a t-shirt for the hen do! My Dad will get his before hand as his is socks and cufflinks for the day! My Step- Mum will get hers with my Dad - so she doesn't feel left out! MiL will get hers during the speeches as will everyone else who helped out - ushers etc... We haven't done flowers for anyone because of the travelling involved. xx

I dont know what i am getting mine so i dont know when to give them to them until i find them. I am giving my MOH, BM, TBM, FGS, BSM, UHR, Mam, Dad, Mil, Fil all there very own special poem as the othe guests will just get the same poem

I've got jewelry for the bridesmaids and cuff links for the groomsmen so they'll be getting them in the morning so they can be worn for the day. They're the only people we're buying for to thank them for making our day special

i would say it depends on what the gifts are! if like a lot of the others the bridesmaids gifts are their jewellery then you might want to tell them it is their gist when you give it to them, or wait until the speeches to surprise them by telling them it is theirgift from you to them. x

I gave my bridesmaids theirs in the morning as they were jewelery sets. The ushers and BM got theirs in the morning as well as they had cufflinks. We gave the parents theirs during the speeches, and that's when Sam gave me my present as well. I'd given his to the BM to give him in the morning.

we only have a short day so we are doing the speeches straight after welcome drinks, and then having the buffet, so we will do the thanks you gifts during the speeches and hope it doesnt go on too long x

I dont think I want speeches so might wait until just before the evening buffet and then after the thank you's announce the buffet open. not sure though, dont want it too chavvy haha x

I think we are going to give some of ours on the morning of the wedding as they are jewellery for the day. Its only the flower girl, page boys and MIL that are not having something to wear for the day. I don't know what to do for the best with the others as it might look bad saying here is the page boys etc but then not giving anything to the rest because they already have it. Confuzzled.com

We gave the bridesmaid and best man their gifts in the morning before the wedding ceremony and the mums, flowergirl, pageboy, ringbearer and ushers their gifts after the meal in the break when we had to come out of the function room for it to get prepared for the dancing later on and have a drink in the reception area/bar area. It was easier to do this than during the speeches as we had the speeches before the meal and also it felt more comfortable for us and the gift receivers as none of us had to feel embarassed by getting up to receive the gift in front of everyone. xx

My thankyou gift to my bridesmaids, maid of honour, my mum, and h2b's mum is a facial followed by a proffesional make up lesson, so they can do thier own makeup for the wedding. So they get their gifts in the week or so before the big day.. i guess whatever we decide on for the fathers, page boys and groomsmen will be given at around the same time.. x
