Powder blue and pale pink with hints of fuchsia. I've got some colour inspiration pics in my albums. It looks much better than it sounds. We are having a subtle candy crush theme with a sweet cart in our colours, over sized lollipops etc for decoration, but also toying with a Charlie and the chocolate factory theme and going all out!
I don't know if I can call this a theme, but I'm planning to use mainly pine cones on the decor. Pine cones and baby's breathe. So the colour scheme would be something like brown, light golden, white... I've found some really nice ideas online :) ah, and it's a winter wedding :D
CommentAuthorMrsEmmaP
I am not really having a theme but my colours are lilac and ivory/white, just because lilac is my favourite colour and as we get married in May I thought it would be a nice spring time colour :)
Got together on 14th March 2010
Got engaged on 25th December 2013
Became Mrs P on 14th May 2016 - best day ever!

Pastel colours with a country garden/vintage/rustic kind of theme going on. Each of my bridesmaids will be wearing a different colour - pink, blue, mint and lilac - with my little flower girl in white and yellow. Was inspired by a photo I saw of bridesmaids wearing different coloured dresses and think it will suit the venue and the time of year really well. Can't wait to see it all come together x

Purple and teal. Wanted purple, but didn't want to be like every other purple wedding I have seen :) The BMs are in purple and boys will have purple ties, but h2b will have a teal tie and the ribbon on bouquets will be teal aswell. Working well so far :)

We had purple and mint green. I wanted the girls to be wearing purple, but never wanted the men to. At first we were going to go with silver, but then I came across purple and green and thought how nice it looked together, so the mens accessories were green and so were mine. We kinda had a butterfly theme going on as well as I got butterfly table name holders, so when we had the table plan done it had butterfly background and my converse which I changed into had butterflies on them.

We're having yellow and smoky grey/silver. Our theme is spring/country as we marry on the first day of spring and I love everything country. My H2B picked the yellow as he wanted yellow roses as our flowers and I picked silver/grey to go with my bridesmaids
CommentAuthorAmyN135
Although all my bridesmaids are in purple, I don't really want everything to match as such. Who says it does anyway? There is a sort of rustic/woodland theme but I love multicolours so might have a rainbow theme!
CommentAuthorCarrieD26
Amy, I originally wanted a rainbow theme with bridesmaids all in different colours and rainbow roses! Rainbow roses were way over budget though, so had a rethink.
CommentAuthorAmyN135
I am having wildflowers but thinking of decorating the venue with multi coloured or dip dyed paper lanterns, etc and having a multicoloured swirl cake. I just get annoyed when people say to me things have to 'match'. Is there a wedding bible that says this somewhere??! lol. I just want our day to reflect who we are and what we like and to hell with what's 'normal' or 'tradition'! x
CommentAuthorFlossie
I much prefer several colours and themes to one rigid colour and one rigid theme.. makes it seem a lot more relaxed and informal, but also very pretty and personal.
Hence why we are having 5 different colours and a combination of a rustic/vintage/country garden theme lol xx

It's good to be different. My colours have turned onto more of a palette now!!
I like that it's an unusual choice of colours too. Makes it more memorable,I think!!
CommentAuthorFlossie
Yeah, definitely :) I think it's much more of a modern thing to have different colours now. Looking back at the pics of when I was a bridesmaid when I was younger, it was all matchy matchy and very colour coordinated.
Even if you had a purple colour scheme, I love the idea of having lots of different shades of purple x

As much as I do like purple, I don't want everything else in the wedding to have purple just because the bridesmaids are that colour. My wedding planner at the venue rang me last week asking me what colour of bows I want for chair covers and I told her I didnt want any! I am getting chiavari chairs instead and will figure out how or what way to decorate them myself. I do like all the pastel shades as well, so will either have lots of pastel shades or just bright rainbow colours!! The hippy in me wants tie dye as well! lol x

We're having a dusty blue colour which fits into our a hint of disney theme really well. We got engaged in Disneyworld hence the theme.Just trying to make sure it doesn't turn into a little girls party!
CommentAuthorSydnieH
We never really had a theme in mind with us both been soooo different, seriously we have very little in common, people find it strange we've been together as long as we have because of that. But it's seeming the way its all coming together that it's very 'country'. But I don't think it always matters, I didn't want too many colours as I'm quite particular and prefer things to be matching haha, but I have seen some pictures of days full of colour and they're so pretty and just instantly scream fun :)
CommentAuthorGemmaB92
I'm having burgundy and ivory as my colours and a little bit of superhero theme as my partner and two kids are super hero mad I'm having.fun trying to make it all work so many ideas
CommentAuthorAprilS61
I commented on this post monthsss ago but have twigged our theme slightly!
We started out with just turquoise, then incorporated Swans (surname), then managed to get a couple of Bows in (my shoes, Bms dress etc) now have gone for little very subtle Disney! (Mad on Minnie Mouse since my youngest nieces were born!)
Sounds like overkill but its all very minor so a lot of it will probably go unnoticed and only those close to me will pick up on my love for bows. Im so excited yeeeey! Hahaa

I really wanted a navy blue but panicked when I found out you can't have navy flowers!! Mom even has blue flowers growing in her garden.
After searching the rainbow we settled on a deep red :) really looking forward to it now. Although mothers and bms weren't happy. :)

Im a massive fan of the colour pink and I also love green.. so colours are pink and green , we having a bohemian vintage rustic festival meets glitter glam type theme... with lots of feathers as I make jewellery with them, feathers represent angels and I have been into angels since I was little girl... quite a mix n match of things we like we are having rather than one theme :)
Soooooo excited to be marrying my Best Friend !!

We are having Purple ombre (gradient shades of purple) cos I couldnt settle on one and plus it avoided the risk of two 'cadbury purple' being slightly off for example, flashes of turquoise and flashes of silver :)
we're having rose colour names for our table numbers
but no real theme, just simple elegance
CommentAuthorGlitterfairy
That sounds lovely Geraldine. At one point I was considering doing my table names in shades of purple.

We're getting married on NYE so that's the theme, our colours are Black and Silver with splashes of red and lots of sparkle (hopefully without being tacky). I plan on taking advantage of winter I have asked the venue to leave up their xmas decorations which they're happy to do and I'll be using winter plants and flowers to build on that (might even have our bouquets made of poinsettias but will make a final decision on that once I've seen what can be done a lot closer to the time)

Colours for our wedding is purple, black and white however because it's an Alice in Wonderland theme this scheme doesnt reallt stretch beyond the bridal party atire and table decorations/flowers. In some areas its a mixed bag.
We're not wanting to go overboard with the theme so it looks all Disney but keep it classy with "hints" of Wonderland. :)

We're getting married at the top of a lighthouse at the edge of Britain's only desert so our flowers and colour scheme will match that! Green succulents and yellow marsh flowers for the bouquet and button holes and yellow accents elsewhere (my shoes, oh's bow tie etc.)
Our reception is a day later. We're having a picnic on a little island that guests get to by boat. It'll be seaside themed, with decorations and tableware in red/white/blue.

We have a peacock/woodland theme. Bridesmaid and flower girl will be wearing green :-) Thinking of alternating green and purple from the peacock feather for the chair sashes.
