We had h2b friend and wife over for dinner last night and he was telling me about his mates stag do. Basically the groom got bladdered and fell over. Another friend was a doctor so took him to hospital where they put a plaster on the grooms leg. So, basically the groom spent 2 weeks in a cast which meant he was on crutches and his wedding outfit had to be altered to accommodate the cast etc. complete nightmare as you can imagine!
Anyway, the day of the wedding went well ...everyone had a great time and got drunk and at 11pm the very drunk best man got back on the mic to thank everyone for coming and to tell the groom he had not actually broken his leg at all....it was just a joke!!!! Basically they did it intending to tell him before the wedding but it all went too far and they bottled it.
All hell broke loose, the bride went bananas not only because of the stress they had caused but also because all the photos were spolit as the groom was in a cast and crutches....can you imagine?????

I know can you imagine the photos????? There is a worst one apparently but cant quite get full details out of h2b but will try again later ha ha. It was when they were very young in the days when you had the stag the night before the wedding (yes he is that old! ha ha). H2b was not involved in the above I might add!!!

if i was the h2b i would never forgive my friends for that. Surely the cod would be in breach of practice somewhere?

oh wow! I would be furious! Luckily one of the blokes going on Dan's stag got engaged in February, so there won't be anything too bad going on as he'll be scared of repurcussions on his!

i know a guy who on his stag night... which was the night before his wedding ... cheated on his wife to be and had a 3some!! ..... there marrage only lasted 18 mths and they divorced...

i know of someone whose stag was 2 nights before his wedding and his mates shaved off his eyebrow(just the one mind...)
and so he thought he looked lopsided and shaved off the other one himself and he looked like a big moon face with stubble eyebrows on the big day!! x

well he left her 18 mths later as she cheated on him... so kind of funny really ... he was presurised to marry her and didnt really want to couldnt back out as alot of strings had to be pulled to get married at edingburgh castle and have the ceremony and reception there and the guns etc... and he was 20 at the time too...

i think in all honestly they were as bad as each other lol but still funny ( i can laugh as i know he wasnt the cheating type so musta been very bad relationship) but just funny that if your gonna cheat on your stag night what better way to do it with a 3 some and one being the chief bridesmaid who had suggested it... what a good friend lol

I went to a wedding where one of the groomsmen, long story short, was shot at by the military (they went to Poland for the stag do) and also arrested by the police!! The others had to bribe the police to let him go so they could catch their flight! It was about a couple of months before the wedding, which meant H2B couldn't make it, thank god!!

last year i went on a hen weekend and the stag were supposed to be coming out after we got back (spain) but because of the ash cloud we got stranded. They came out anyway as they were staying in a different hotel. My friend, the bride, got a call from her H2B at about 2am really angry and upset that his fellow stags had taken him into a brothel and were encouraging him to sleep with a prostitute!

id be fuming if someone tried to encourage kev to do that. but hopefully he wouldnt do it, although id rather not know that they had tried to get him to do it

This wasn't the stag night but the night before the wedding.

Groom meets up with family and friends the night before the wedding for dinner. Parents etc go home after the meal. The younger crowd go to the pub. Many of them, including the groom, are army and used to drinking. Best Man is an engineer who drinks infrequently, but tries to keep up. One thing leads to another, end up in Strip club all rather drunk.

Groom and Best Man get back to parents house in the early hours of the morning. At some time in the night Best Man goes to the bathroom- most probably to throw up. Found uncouncious there in the morning next to a broken plant pot. However just appears a bit hungover, so Groom puts him to bed and does all the morning jobs like delivering decs to the venue. Best Man councious enough for breakfast before leaving, but looks dozy.

Get to Chuch... quite a few guests looking worse for wear, cans of Coke being passed around. It is noticed Best Man has a rather nasty cut on back of his head. Gets through service, Bride notices the slight doziness but nothing serious. Best Mans Wife (a bridesmaid) doesn't too look happy at Best Man after service/at reception.

The next morning Best Man still not right, so Wife takes him to hospital. Discovers huge chunk of scalp and hair missing, diagnosed with concussion. Sent home.

Several days later... Best Mans speech becomes slurred and loses coordination. Admiited to hospital for rest of week with severe concussion.

He is now fully recovered and has a permanent reminder of the day... a bald patch. And everlasting teasing from the bride and groom.

blimey dove poor bloke. H2b is staying in the night before the wedding and not getting pi**ed!!!

H2B's friend was telling us of a groom that went abroad (can't remember where) for his stag and the others had arranged for him to be 'kidnapped'. While they were in the taxi a 'gang' stopped them and put a bag ove rthe stag's head and piled him into a van and drove him round and round. They dragged him into a building adn the poor guy was screaming. It was a strip club (but he had his head covered) and they put him on stage and took his bag off. All his mates were in the audience. I think that's the worst I've ever heard and I feel so sorry for the guy. I don't think he found it amusing

God It really makes me worried about what guys do when they get drunk my H2B is slighly worried as is only a week before we get married. They are going to a festival so hopefully nothing too silly will happen. It would just be apin if it ruined the photos

RYHOPE, I can't believe you know the people involved!!! That story is a legend, I live in Plymouth and a lot of us down here know that story!!!! lol. xx

I know this is gonna sound bad but with my Dad passing away, there is a small sense of relief he will not be involved in H2Bs stag night. He once told me a story about a stag night he went on (when the stag nights were usually the night before) where they clubbed together and bought a one-way ticket to Edinburgh, got the groom totally paralytic, stripped him naked and put him on the train to edinburgh with just that ticket and NOTHING else!!!! My Dad can't remember if or how the groom got back in time for the wedding!! lol. xxx

this is why my h2b doesnt want a stag night lol, hes having one thou after much persuasion x
